What would you think of MS if when PS Home comes out, and they make Live free?

Really? What would happen to your opinion of Microsoft be if as soon as Playstation Home comes out they make Xbox Live gold memberships free?

What would their reasoning be then? What kind of excuse would they have for charging people for it before? Would they even do it?

Do you think that as soon as they commited to a paid subscription model they were tied to it? Should they refund current subscriptions? Should they even go so far as to refund old fees?

Why don't we wait to see if HOME is all that it's hyped up to be first.

Well Second Life been out for years and it is free on the PC. I thinkthecows are making too muchof a big deal of Home. I really think Home will become microtransaction heaven. Sure they will give you basic stuff, but want a bigger house, have to pay for it, want new stuff have to pay for it.

Well it would show strategic awareness, which is what a company must have..

It would also show that Gates and his fellasbelieve that Home is a major deal, and they'd have to be crapping themselves about it to make live free..

The difference between Home and Second Life is that Home will be directly available to everyone owning a PS3, and SONY will do a much greater job of publicising it...

Second Life isa hassle because you have to download it, not THAT many people have it/have heard of it, and not many (from my experiences, myself included) understand WTF you're meant to do on it..

cant you pretty much do anything you want to do on secondlife, even make real money.

either microsoft will get rid of the fee or they will announce a new feature in xbox live to counter homelawlessx
