What year will PS3 catch 360 sales?

There about 7 million units behind now.

And Price Drops and the Elite has yet to arrive.
plus GTA 4 and Halo 3 will be pushing million of units this winter.

not including MAss Effect, Bioshock, DMC etc...

WHat year will Sony be able to make ground on 360 and catch it?

It won't need to, because even if it did, it wouldn't beat MS this gen. Only Wii has the potential to bring the 360 down at the moment,

MS is after the living room, Like Movie Downloads, etc...  Thats Something Nintedo isnt after. even if wii sells more units it will not effect the market MS is aiming for.

I see them both as gaming consoles, whichever sells the most wins. All that talk about media centers, living room experiences, etc is just a different type of bs to appeal to some casuals that could also be used as an excuse if the 360 is defeated by the Wii in sales.

xbox sold better in the long run to, as ps3 sales pick up so will 360, so sony still wont be gaining groud.

When the war between HD-dvd and BR are clear and HD_Dvd scrapped. Lets face it the PS3 have a very good Blue ray player and you also get a good consoleThornorway

The BR player is slow, soon better and cheaper ones will come out. And as a console, the PS3 is just meh.

I keep on hearing about GTA pushin the 360 sales..well guess what it can also can do the same for the PS3..Heavenly Sword, Lair, Warkhawk, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Metal Gear Solid 4(if it comes out this year). All can push PS3 sales this year.. And next year the PS3 will have LittleBigPlanet, White Knight Story, Wardevil, Final Fantasy 13 and Versus, and New Team Ico game. Tekken, Gran turismo and Killzone 2..And maybe even Bioware will announce a game for the PS3..The Playstation will always have the best line up of games..and there is other games that isnt announce yet for the ps3 but will be coming jak and daxter socom and etc..I see PS3 passing the 360 sales next year..

 Bluray is not a key issue driving PS3 sales. Most people I think still are not interested in these new formats (HD-DVD and Bluray) if the PS3 is to win or retake the lead it will be because of the games not some new media format hyped by the audio/videophiles .

He is talking about the PS3 selling 300,000 units in Britain compared to the 360s 71,000 and the Wiis 105,000. This made cows very happy because this made the PS3 the fastest selling console in Britain. What our friend here forgot is the following week PS3 sales went down 82 percent with software sales dropping 60 percent...keep in mind the console just recently launched.

That is horrible for the second week for a console that is supposed to have this huge demand and this "100 million" user base.
