Yes but the jump for me is more drastic (PS2-PS3 is a big difference)

Rev for true backwards compatibility, better graphics, new control method, and (i'm assuming) compatibility with the DS.

The PS3 o XBox 360 for the same old games with improved graphics (depending on which has the better games).

Best Multiplayer - We'll probably see 64 and 128 player games this "gen" (though PCs don't really have generations) - while the consoles probably won't break 32. More isn't always necessarily better for gameplay (only in large scale games), but it's nice to know it can be done on PC.

Best Community - The PC FPS community is dedicated to competetion (Ladders, clans) and modding to tweak and improve the game.

Best Graphics - Console hardware remains at a standstill.

Best Controls - KB+M..but I guess you could dish out more cash to buy both for consoles.

Most Extra Content - hundreds of Mods, thousands of additional maps, models/skins, voice packs, all free of charge..map editors to create your own maps.

Best games in its respective "best" genres - FPS, RTS, MMORPG/FPS and WRPGs galore..all my favorite genres. ;)

I agree w/ you on the mods and all. Communities are great, I love it so much... I love the controls as well, so many buttons to do so many things!! (Simulators = Love) And all I play are fps, rts, simulators, and fpsrpg(morrowind)

Revolution is offering me a new way to play games, it allows me to download any NES, SNES, and N64 games, and best of all, it offers me Metroid Prime 3.8)

360.

Completely new way of playing online.
Great multimedia bonuses that also coincide with gameplay.
Backwards compatible with some games.
Can play alongside an XBOX if playing an XBOX game (I've tried and it works).
Lots of downloadable content.

Revolution: New gameplay method, cheapest price, nes, snes, n64, gc, and rev all in one, and nintendo 1st party games

and the reason I'm not interested in the other 2 is because: 360 hasn't offered any great games, and ps3 has only 1 game I want at this point (re5)

I can't comment on PS3 or Revolution since barely any substantial information has been released about them.

So by default, my vote goes with the Xbox 360 because:

Complete integration of all its features
Demos and trailers on demand
Xbox Live Arcade
Seamless media streaming
It's not as Japan centric as the other two have been historically

I guess advanced AI, Greatly improved Physics, more detailed/interactive environments, more expansive worlds and improved online content(including player created content for Live).. didn't factor into your equation.. :|

I really need a computer upgrade. What I mean is that I like getting the pc versions of most games because you can mod them and some of them have exclusive stuff. So i'm going to go with the 360 or Rev, but not even hoping that much. The PS3 doesn't seem to change any of my opinions.

wow ur smart. the new xbox live has a few little innovations and cool new things, but its not a completely super special awesome thing compared to old xbox live. they just modeled the new xbox live after halo 2 online. the multimedia isnt that great, as who would download a movie for that much money when you could just go rent it? its backwards compatible with **** for games, even their halo 2 emulator sucks ****. plus the xbox 360 has a slow crappy o/s that they forfeited efficiency on to make it look a little bit prettier. and whenever you try to go through the o/s without waiting 5 seconds for everything to appear, it freezes. i.e. if i'm in the market place and in a lobby for gears of war suddenly the gamestarts going and i hit B over and over to just get out of everything, and... TA DA, it just freezes. not to mention the horrendously loud fan and the overpriced acsessories and the huge power box.
