What's keeping you from buying a 360?

The reason i haven't bought the 360 is because i find it too expensive still. I'm not willing to put down nearly $500 just for a system that isn't wireless and has expensive online (imo) and one game.

When that new 65nm chip comes and a $100 price drop with some more games, then i'll consider it.

1. Failure rate

2. May get a gaming PC

Two things:

1. Red rings of death.

2. The rings it leaves on 360 disks so they won't work.

I just sold mine, I'm now saving up for a PS3.

The Final Fantasy fanboy is taking over me. Hopefully this one will be as good as 4.

i think the hardware issue is whats annoying people, i have a 360 and a ps3, but i honestly favor my ps3 a little more because its reliability, i buy all multi-platform games for my ps3 . because 4 months ago i bought COD4 for the 360 and during the game my 360 malfunctioned and gave me the red lights i was pissed and i kept saying to myself if i only bought it for the ps3 i'd still be playing right now. 360 has more games at the moment but what good is it if its going to inevitably go out on you. ms needs to fix this and fast

I planned on purchacing a 360 at launch but couldn't find one.....so since then I have been stuck with Madden 06 and 2 memory cards......but the reason that I don't purchese one now.....

3 LIGHTS is one of the main reasons.....but also...

the games do not appeal to me that much.... the few games that I have said "damn I hope that comes to the PS3" are

Star Trek game....before the reviews came

Ace Combat 6.....but this should be releasing for the PS3 later down the road.....

Mass Effect...... not because of the graphics (I really believe it will not look like how some think it will) but more so just the exploration seems interesting......

GRAW looked fun...but since part 2 is releasing soon...I'm ok...

games that some might wonder why I'm not *that* interested...

Halo-- I really had more fun playing Tribes AA for the PS2 than this game.....as far as online/mulitplayer......and it does not seem to have changed that much.......

Gears- I have been spoiled by all the action that happens in Resistance and of course I know I'm not the only one but the Online of Resistance has spoiled me over other various FPS and 3rdPS on Consoles......

I better stop now, I feel some heat coming..........but it goes back to what I say from time to time....... PS owners love PS types of games where as some MS followers aren't that interested.........vise-versa

Also I don't know why the hell MS took out the analog face buttons for the 360 controller..... that stuff helps when playing games like Madden and you want to throw over a LB but not too high......as well as other games.....

There are only 2-3 games that interest me. (GeOW and Halo 3 aren't on the list :o)

I picked other and here is why:

There are no fun games to play. Xbox live costs money and is laggy and also has no great features that stand out. Loads of ppl on gears are little kids. I'd end up playing my old Xbox games on it and the only one that'll work is halo 2 which is worse than gears. Nearly all the "good" games are shooters which just don't feel right without the mouse and keyboard. There are no appealing RPGs coming out. No Blizzard. C&C should never be played on a 360 controler. It would probably break sitting on all night next to my heater in my really really cold room. It might break NOT sitting next to my heater in my really really mild living room. It might break sitting next to my drink cooler in my really really hot den. It might break if I just say skrew failure rate and keep it in the box. It might break if I look at it funny. It might break if I don't treat it with love and respect. It might break if I attempt to piss off Bill Gates. It might break if I shoot it with my paint ball gun. It might break if my dog looks at it funny. It might break if I put a Blu-Ray movie in it. It might break if I chase my little brother and his friends out of the room its in. Oh did I mention it has no good games? It might break if I hook it up to a high quality sound system. It might break if I drink a Sobe. It might fix itself when it enevatably breaks if I give it a Monster energy drink, and/or Phoenix Down, errr there the same thing anyway. It might break if I buy a Wii or PS3. It might get jealous and break if I turn on my PC. It might break if I don't feed it every day. It might break if I Wife comes in the room and yells at me for not cleaning my room. It might break after a microsoft fanboy reads this message. It might break if Chuck Norris laughs too loud. It would also break if Chuck Norris imposed his divine will to do so.It might break if I play Ozzy too loud on my stero. It also might break if I insert Halo 3 or the other3 discs of Halo 3. It also would probably break if I buy Halo 3 cuz things tend to break when you need them most.

I think that's about all my reasons.. Probably not but ya.

Nope, unless DS Lite counts. I actually plan on buying a PS2 before 360.

the 360 is a good system but i think the wii beats it in most areas.

Because they are not gamers

Any gamer should buy a 360, like duh.

- Too expensive. With the hard drive and XBL, it's just about the price of PS3.

- Red Lights.

- Only 2 or 3 games that interest me. Too many shooters (see: console shooters).

- Red Lights.

- As usual, many of the best games will be on PC.

- Too many idiots on XBL.

- Wii is bettar.

I don't have one for a combination of the first three choices.

1. I don't really care about the 3 rings of death, but I'm waiting a while to see if they fix it anyway, just in case. I heard rumors (I think they're rumors, but I'm not sure) that they are trying to fix the problem, and therefore if they are it would be kind of stupid to rush out and get it right now.

2. I have a Wii, and am playing that right now, and have a big list of games to get.

3. $400 is not really expensive by itself, but if you add the fact that I have a lot of games that I want for the Wii, and the fact that I'm a college student...

So basically, I'm just waiting a while to get it. I want to get it, and will get it eventually. I'm pretty much waiting to see if they are going to lower the price soon, and fix the 3 rings problem.
