I'm not gonna say anything, I want you guys to tell us.
Whats next becuase Virtual Reality is far off and consoles are becoming PC's with restrictions.
So, tell me whats next after this gen other than better graphics.

A motion based gen with huge improvements over this one, and of course without messing around with the traditional way of playing.
I think M$ and Sony are gonna try to copy Nintendo, and Nintendo will do something innovative and win another generation of gaming. That's how I see it. majadamus
That's how it's been from the start :P
I think the next generation is going to be a scary one. All three companies are going to have to do new things. Microsoft will try to incorporate a new control scheme as will Sony, I think. Don't expect Nintendo to release a power house next gen either. They will stay around the low end price wise. But my god they need to figure out the whole online gaming thing. That's gonna kill them this gen. They may gain millions of casuals but they will loose the hardcore if they don't figure this one out. Next gen will be all about making the gamer a bigger part of the games as well as connecting people across the globe. Pretty much bringing the ideas of the big 3 and putting them all together. But who knows?
[QUOTE="f50p90"]I think this is my last gen gaming so I don't knowjangojay
May I ask why? D;, because after SC2 all I'll be playing is mmos :S
I'll probably graduate college around the end of this gen and I don't see myself gaming after that. maybe some casual stuff, not too much[QUOTE="jangojay"][QUOTE="f50p90"]I think this is my last gen gaming so I don't knowf50p90

Ditto for me. Well not quite. I'm still going to play games but once I get off to college I'm definately going to cut down on gaming. Games now just aren't what they use to be. They really have taken the forms of movies as being souless endeavors. Where's the level design? The strong core game mechanics? Creativity resulting in evolution (not not that weird Loco Roco or Odama crap)? Where's the polish? Where are the production values? Games have definately lost they're way for me. I often find myself playing older games then new ones. I'll probably just stick to handheld gaming, the fighting genre, and indie PC games. Far cheaper and much more rewarding. I think that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a worthy bang for my step out of the world of hardcore gaming.

Yea I think MGS 4 and Starcraft 2 and any games in between will be the end of it for me.

I'll still play games but more so the huge blockbuster ones and the games that only appeal to me.
Like say last year the only games I'd get would've been Super Mario Galaxy, Persona 3, and Odin Sphere.
I would also have got like 3 fighting games and 3 handheld games along with a few indie games.
That sounds like alot but keep in mind this is a year. That's like a game a month.
I do get too addicted to games. Hell I got Skies of Arcadia from a friend and have logged in over 40 hours in it in around 2 weeks.
I'm also a very talented animator as well as have great ideas for my own cartoons. But I never have any time to create comics or cartoons cause I'm so busy gaming. Mark my words "Gunraidan" will come to life (my username is based off of it)
I dont think so,the graphics arent holding the Wii back,Its its library,I might get flamed for saying it but Wii games dont appeal to everyone.I have a Wii and I havent played it in months.xgraderx
What type of games do you like and which Wii games have you tried? Perhaps we could make some recommendations.
