sorry but this is incorrect, check the sales figures for Super smash bros melee, and check the sales for halo 2, closer than you might have thought? considering console sales it's almost 1 copy of super smash to every 4 consoles.

Now, with the wii selling like it is, i'd expect much higher sales from brawl, just wait.

If you were online to buy Halo 2, two years ago, you'd probably understand. Most of the people that bought Halo 2 were hardcore, gaming casuals, lemmings and parents who bought for their idiot kids.

Considering one is an RTS style game, the other is an FPS, I don't think it will matter much, however competition is competition. BWii would be affected by Halo or any other game in the market considering all developers out there want you to buy there game, and every game that's bought and not made from them is a chance lost.

BWii should be just fine, Halo won't steall much from it, considering it never was a mega hit on the cube. The handheld Wars games sold fine, and I think this may do well consdiering it has what any avid "Wars" player like me would want. Online play, and most importantly split-screen multiplayer that was lacked in the previous game.

seriously though it's not even that good (although it's much better that sunshine). I'm guessing that Galaxy could eventually end up with SM64 levels of sales (11 million) or even SMW levels (19 million) if it's as good as people say.  We'll have to wait and see, it'll shift system like nothing else though (with the possible exception of wii healthh)

seriously though it's not even that good (although it's much better that sunshine). I'm guessing that Galaxy could eventually end up with SM64 levels of sales (11 million) or even SMW levels (19 million) if it's as good as people say.  We'll have to wait and see, it'll shift system like nothing else though (with the possible exception of wii healthh)

Wind Waker Sold 3.07 million copies

Super Mario Sunshine ( which sucks) sold  5.5 million

 Now i'm going to let you count that, hell you can even substitue Zelda for Metroid Prime 2 if you want. And hell why not use a calculator, you obviously need one. What does interjecting your opinion on the game have to do with sales? JUst wondering. Still a great game by the critics standards, and has sold very well. So I'd say that considering this game is proof enough Mario games can outsell a "Halo" game. Hell Pokemon games outsell Halo and GTA games combined.yoshi_64

I just thought it needed to be said to emphasise the strength of the brand. Dont get me wrong i enjoyed the game, but it was hardly at the same level of something like Mario 3 or Mario World. Imahgine if a truly earth shattering Mario game came out (which galaxy looks like it might be). The sales would be astronomical. I've never understood the fascination with Pokemon to be honest but i will eventually get the new one on the DS. It's an amazingly powerful brand though (although i still maintain that Mario is more powerful)
