AAA: 5

AAAA: 17

5 amazing games and 17 great games

Virtual Console : AAA: 2

AA: 17

2 Amazing classics and 17 great classics

Surely this is enough considering its been out for 1 year and 5 months?

Theres 22 great games out there and 19 classics for you to play and a lot of people may enjoy the A games as well

So whats so bad about the wii's line up?

Even if the 360 and PS3 has a better line up surely this many games is still good enough for wii only owners?

And If some of theses games don't appeal to you it may appeal to others so don't bash the wii line-up as it may be amazing for some yet not so good for others but I think there is something good for everyone in there

The wii has the best 1st party support out there, but everyone can see how there 3rd party support is lacking.

Its not bad, its just the smallest ... and other than input, its barely kept up with expectations on the idea of "Next Gen" of the consoles, as in superb graphics, better online.

I don't think the 3rd Party support is that bad :S

2 3rd party AAA

14 3rd Party AA

That ain't too bad IMO and a bunch of 3rd party A games and 7+ games can be good, thats why gamespot states them as "good"

who cares if its first party or third party. The games are good. But if i wanna be completely analytical. The graphics are not up there with the other 2 consoles and the online play is lacking a bit. The wii is still a beast tho.

There's too few.
And there is the graphics step.

For people who feel stuck on the graphics step, buy a 5 dollar game from a budgetbasket and see how much it really matters to You. That shouldn't be that big a step right? Look up some good game that You missed out on and find it for 5 bucks. Try to play it for longer than 1 minute -_-

I think it depends on the way you play games. if your single player minded, or online multiplayer minded it's probably awful. If you love split screen gameplay it's probably the only real choice when it comes to the current gen consoles.

weak third party support. konami, namco and square need to support nintendo with more big name quality titles. the wii can handle all sorts of games. not just casual.

I have a Wii, and for the most part I believe it gets a really bad rap. However, the disappointment is warranted to some degree. The console hasn't lived up to its true potential, and developers refuse to accept that the industry is changing and therefore look at the Wii as a dumping ground for crap to make a quick buck.

I mean, if the console is the easiest to develop for (due to familiar GC hardware) and the cheapest, it should be a no brainer that developers truly support it. Instead, they aren't. They dump licensed crap for 5 year olds, the dump minigame collections that are terrible. And what little 3rd party games are decent...they are just PS2 ports of old games nobody really cares about any more.

Even if the complainers are right, and the Wii is just a GC with motion controls, then why the hell haven't we seen games that look as good as Rogue Squadron, RE4 (other than the RE4 port of course) or even Viewtiful Joe? Why are the graphics for third party titles mostly terrible, or just PS2 ports. Why aren't more RE4 type games coming out?

And when Metroid Prime 3 proved the console could be amazing for FPS, why aren't developers MAKING FPS? Why aren't developers making some bloody games that are worth playing? The WIi is where the money is. Instead they just use it to rip people off and make a quick buck to subsidize their expensive games on other consoles that probably won't make as much money anyway.

It is really sad. I enjoy the Wii and have been a strong supporter. But I'm quickly becoming depressed at the crap coming out. No More Heroes was a nice change of pace, but even the graphics for that game were kind of bad IMHO. People always hate to hear the "lazy devs" comment, but clearly the Wii shows that most third pary devs are so stubbornly stuck in their ways that the success of the Wii is completely ignored. They would rather make SPlinter Cell 13, or spend a billion dollars making some FPS that will probably flop anyway, instead of making a great, innovative game on a cheaper console with the largest user base world wide.

Somebody posted a great article last week about developers self-destructing on the Wii and why. I think that is something everyone should read...especially third party developers themselves. Because the fact that they are pretty much ignoring the biggest success story in possibly console history says a lot about the state of the industry today.

I don't think anything is wrong with the Wii's games thus far. 2007 started kind of slow, but then it picked up in 2008, so I'm happy! The wii may lack in graphics, and great online abilities, but for the most part, the wii is a different approach that is truly nex gen material. It's fun, different, and is finally coming out with games that people want to play. So let's face it, the wii is nex gen and shouldn't be considered anything less. SSBB now has online play, which does need work, but should be fun when finished. In addition, the wii is now coming out with Mario Kart Wii, which will have 12 player online and online tournaments, so I don't get the criticism.

There is nothing wrong with the exclusives on the Wii...if you are buying it as a second platform when you have a PC/PS3/360 as a first, than you are set....

the problem comes into play if you are buying it as a primary system...their just arent enough multiplats to justify a purchase...and what multiplats are on the Wii, are pretty likely to be very poor compared to the full counterparts.

They have been told the reason. And some won't listen.
Much of the hate towards the wii is really missunderstanding or hate towards third party.

I respect the developers because i know they all try to make the best of things, but of many their vision is completely ****ed up.
Yes it says quite a bit about the state of the industry. I hope another one will be able to get through to them, as nintendo is clearly not the one they take advice from.

Nothing wrong with them. It's just SW fanboy stuff 99% of the time. Sometimes it's just in fun, sometimes it's actual idiocy.
