I haven't played it but it looks like a really bad game that would get old pretty fast.

I can't really just play it without a wii.well your missing out then :)[QUOTE="air_wolf_cubed"]play it and find outstedtfeld
Honestly, I am playing it right now and what is so fun about it is that it is so off the wall and crazy. This girl just bit a grenade and blew her head off.yellowandmushy
If you truly appreicate art, then go for it. If you just want to boring, then avoid it like a plague.hiphops_savior
I'm not sure if I would classify NMH as art. It's deffinitly different, off the wall, over the top, hillarious, completely ridiculus, with a cool "art" sty1e. but I'm not sure if it qualifies as true art.

and travis proffeses his love to that headless body.
I can understand why people like it a lot, but I myself do not like it at all.
Slam the A button until an arrow on your screen prompts you to flick your wrist in a certain direction. You can use wrestling moves (two arrows on your screen) but you can finish the game without ever using them. The combat is not deep at all.
Only four or so enemy types that all fight the same anyway.
Levels that are as short as the mini-games that you are forced to play in order to progress. The 5th level is just a hallway, thats it, one long hallway. But all the levels feature really bad level design and the same lousy enemy's
The hub world looks like crap with pop-up worse then last gens GTA games.
A big fat neon sign over its headed that says look how mature the Wii can be. A sense of humor that at times is funny, but is usually just crude.
Boss battles are the best feature but even they are essentially all alike. They are all about timing but you fight them in the same way.
I have seen reviews bash other games with a lot less of the same problems NMH is plagued with. I think it gets a free pass because it supposed to be something for mature gamers on the Wii.
Wii gamers who complain about the "obsession" with guns that other games have and then praise NMH reveal gross bias.
I've never heard about a game being judged by how it looks, only how it plays. Dion4ever
My ass.
In the twenty years of electronic gaming I have enjoyed I have never, ever read a review that did not base part of its score on the visuals.
What a total load of BS that is.
I mean, are you being serious? Good lord. How a game looks is always mentioned. ALWAYS!

Oblivion, Bioshock and Gears of Wars wouldn't score as high as they did if it wasn't because of how they look, since they play very average. unless i misunderstood?

I, and others, speculate on how a game appears to play all the time. However, I do not judge a game I have not played.
I have played and finished NMH.
Again, I can understand the love, thats cool. But I will be the first voice of full decent in this thread. I really dislike the game. Save for the second to last boss battle, the end cut scene was very funny.
It looks that why but to me it was really fun and the Bizarre Characters you met kept the game from getting too Repetative for me since each Boss was Unique and So Bizarre that you couldn't help but work so you can see the next Bizarre Character.Nintendo_Ownes7
yeah same for me basically and the story is wakey and fun but there is a lot to hate about the game

Why does everyone think gears is just good because of its graphics? It has great gameplay.[QUOTE="Dion4ever"]I've never heard about a game being judged by how it looks, only how it plays. Oscar-Wilde

Not for certain. I have played it and I explained whu I think its bad in previous posts in this thread.
To me you implied that had he played it, he would not think it is bad. Witch is certainly not the case for me.

All I'm saying is that he thinks that the game is bad without even playing. I didn't say anything that suggests how the game is.
Simple, but very satisfying gameplay. Death animations never get old for me.
Crazy, over the top cutscenes. Grenade assisted suicide? Check. Crotch lasers? Check. The Garden of Madness? Check.
Crazy, over the top bosses. Karaoke singing cowboy corrupt sheriffs? Check. Homicidal magicians? Check. Your half sister who killed your family and Travis secretly had a crush on but actually hated him and her only desire was to kill him and everybody he knew? Check.
Unique artsyle that shows that you don't need a technical powerhouse to still make a game look stylish.
Those are the reasons why I say NMH is a great game, but that probably wouldn't matter to you because
A) You don't own a Wii so you'll never play the game
B) You probably made this topic based on fanboy bias, so. even if you do ever play the game, you'll already have negative views about it.
It's really nothing too special... 8.0 at best.
It's semi-entertaining at times, but the cons outweigh the pros as you can see here.
Cons: Very repeditive, boring, and non-rewarding combat system, puke-worthy graphics with coins splattering everywhere all the time, corny voice-overs, HORRIBLE excuse for city exploration and driving that big motorcycle seems like more of a chore than it should, the game is really short(the game is completed easily in a rental's time), the game itself is just easy, no replay value, no online.
Pros: Some lines the characters say are pretty funny if you're into adault humor, it's better than 90% of all other Wii games which isnt saying much but since the Wii's standards are so low this got a high score, playing baseball and other things with the Wiimote is still fun from time to time.
I can understand why people like it a lot, but I myself do not like it at all.

I agree. These glaring flaws prevent the game from being anything other than a chore.
I believe that's why reviews exist.Oscar-Wildeeven-so, I think the TC is better off renting this game b4 making such a baseless claim/observation.
