Bioshock, LA Noire, Heavy Rain, Fallout 3, Resistance Fall of Man. Those stand out for me.

The Team Ico collection. Duh. :P But strictly this generation... Red Dead has a great atmosphere even if it's a bad game. I would have to say Drake's Fortune. It showed me what the island Drake was on was about and its secrets, something most treasure-hunting movies and games just say but don't really do well. Halo 3 also had some good atmosphere, though no where near the greatness of Halo: CE's atmosphere.

Let me just say that Majora's Mask is the most atmospheric game ever, second to none.

Anyways, I would say Condemned: criminal Origins, Dead space, silent Hill Shattered Memories and Homecoming, Okami, RDR (although it takes more than atmosphere to make a game it was well done), Bioshock, Dragon Quest IX.

A lot of good choices my friends, however, I still fail to see how Majora's Mask, and Deus Ex Human Revolution was that atmospheric.

Um... what? It's the most atmospheric game of all time. Click the link in my sig, I wrote about it. It's ridiculously atmospheric... the music, the NPC's, the locales... it all comes together in an amazing way.

BioShock/BioShock 2. I'm always nervous and tense going through it. I'm afraid Infinite will change it.

People thought Dead Space was atmospheric? Were we all playing the same game? :P

ActicEdge

Honestly? Dead Space has such good sound design. And I'm not just saying good, but freakin amazing. Like, some people don't appreciate how good it is. I had played Dead Space with a 5.1 surrond sound and the sound design was perfect. The way Isaac breathed heavily in his suit was so damn realistic it scared me
