Nothing stopped me but getting tired of my 360 having issues and wanting to try something new. Yeah I wish my PS3 had more games, but hopefully that will change. Also, I am very interested in Uncharted so that helped out as well.
I also got tired of FPS's too.
Still love both systems though.
well, honestly, i have so many great ps2 games that if i bought a ps3 at this point , all i would be doing is just playing my ps2 games on it...because none of the ps3 games out right now really "appeal" to me, i guess.
i guess i'll buy one with MGS4 comes out.
...
i'am still undecided if i want to buy a Wii....
and i'am starting to get really bored with my 360....
so yeah.
No option for me to choose.
I'm not getting one, because Sony took to long to appeal to me. As a one time Sony supporter, I don't care what games you have to offer me. I'm not spending $500 on any system unless it is a PC. Too many delays, so I just said forget it im not going to standby Sony anymore and picked up a Wii and an Xbox 360. I don't even plan on getting a PS3 because out of the two that I have now, PS3 really has nothing to offer me.
it costs too much considering i already have a 360 which will always be my primary console and i'd like to have money to buy the games that i want for it.
even then, i don't really care any of the ps3 games. (GoW 3 would be cool but i prefer Ninja Gaiden; maybe Ratchet and Clank but that's still only 2 games) Everything else seems better on a 360 imo.
Price
No games at the minute
Some people won't believe me, but none of the games coming out in the next 6-12 months really interest me whatsoever with the exception of LBP and I don't know if it would hold my interest long term.
for me it was many things, and i was so looking forward to the ps3, before it launched
for one, the lack of quality games, theres no reason to buy one now, no games stands out that i like
the price is way too high, i dont care about blu-ray so thats not a price justification for me
lack of rumble, a tiny problem being solved, but its still not applied yet
also, sony's way of handling the press, news and conference all made me dislike the sony and playstation brand
also to note is the great lineup of games on the 360, wich as a console is the best alternative to a playstation on the generation of video games, as of now
I would vote for both 1 & 2. I'm enjoying my 360 a lot and dont see any reason to buy the ps3 yet. I rather wait 2-3 years for the price to go down then buy it. And by that time there should be a good amount of good games out, so I would actually spend a lot of time on it.
I know the price is definatly a big reason why not to get the ps3, but the games are actually pretty good now. Just because It doesnt have super hyped games liked halo 3 and Bioshock. It doesnt mean that the ps3 doesnt alreadyhave good games. Resistance and Warhawk are really great games. They could havehad moregood gamesI admit, butevenbetter games are coming soon. Give the ps3 a chance or even just try some of the games and then state your opinion. Remember, the people who were responsible for the great ps2 are responsible for the ps3.
Too busy with the ridiculous amount of quality games for my PC.NerdMan
Same here -- too busy with the ridiculous amount of quality games for my 360.
Well, that and the fact that I have a little common sense...
As Sony have seemingly adopted a "Just You Wait" policy for any worthwhile games I'm quite happy to adopt a "Just You Wait" policy for Sony getting my cash.
All the prelaunch arrogance and PR bull meant I lost a lost of trust/faith in Sony and they've got to work to get that back, in Europe the game playing public have been treated like mugs... and not all of us are going to forget that ever happened and buy an over priced console with very few worthwhile games.
