For me that's a no-brainer:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky or Wolfenstein.Doom_HellKnightForgot about Clear Sky, shame the game was so buggy out of the box or else it would have been at least an 8. Shadow of Chernobly was a 10/10 in my book once it was patched. Sublime game.

Hm, closest to a 7 I've played would be Mount & Blade. How wrong the gamespot review is, especially with mods. Leading a group of 200 men into a siege NEVER and I mean NEVER gets old.
Crackdown, but I haven't played that Ratchet and Clank game yet and it's one my favorite franchises so that would probably be on top for me.
Not perfectly executed, but the concept is so brilliant the flaws are easily overlooked. This is the true driving simulator. Gamespot rated it 7.8, I'm giving it a 9.0.

Burnout's mildly insane hillbilly cousin. Feels less rigid, more dynamic, unpredictable and fun. Great fun. I play it with a constant grin on my face while occasionally laughing maniacally. So satisfying to drive like an *****ole in this game. Gamespot gave it a 7.5, I give it a 9.0.
In this shot I rammed the yellow car so hard it propelled into the car in front so fast it made a forwards flip, flew through a chainlink fence and out of the track upside down and backwards.
Hot steamy car action.
