I'm sure a lot of you have that one game that you loved, but will probably never pick up again.
For me, it's Mercenaries 2. I loved the story, and the destruction, but the glitches and bugs were just too much.
World of Warcraft
i loved vanilla- wrath, came back a couple times.. its too easy now, the sub is too expensive for a game as old and outdated its become. Done for good, not going back, dont care about classic either, already did all that years ago. If it goes f2p id consider it, but probably wouldn't care, much better stuff to play right now.
The Witcher 3. I have all the respect in the world for CD Projekt Red, the Witcher series, and the people who absolutely love that game and consider it the best game of all time, but oh my fucking Christ did I hate that fucking video game.
Most likely Journey or Bioshock Infinite. They were decent games, but I definitely don't want to go through them again. Doom 2016 I would also throw in there.
Portal 2. it was excellent when it was released but its one play through now since we know all puzzles.
"Never" is a pretty big word, but I don't know if I'll ever play it again even though the option is there. That game would be Okami. Over the course of a single, three-day weekend back in, oh, 2008 I think, I marathoned the game in three sittings for a total of 36-38 hours played. Didn't pick it up again after that (even though I own the PC version of the game) and still remember the game incredibly fondly.
I've been meaning to go through it again, especially considering it's been over 10 years since that happened, but finding the time for that big of an investment is tough.
Death Stranding comes to mind. I love the sci-fi world around it. But once I beat the game, it's unlikely I'll replay the game if ever. I don't even expect myself to double-dip on the PC version.
true dat. I'm still a loooong way from beating it, but I really am enjoying so far. That being said, I highly doubt I'd invest the time again.
Honestly any 100+ hour game. When you adult, it gets hard to justify that kind of time investment when you can experience new games without the time commitment.

Never played it, but I'm surprised it's still a thing tbh.
This guy explains better than I ever could.
It's shit in many, many regards, straight up bad, but brilliant in others.
Single player: Witcher 3 or red redemption 1 both are amazing games but I don’t think I will ever have the time to sit through them again.
Online: diablo 2 or dark age of Camelot our games are/where amazing but with now the online communities is not the same as it was at release. :(
Portal 2. it was excellent when it was released but its one play through now since we know all puzzles.
Yeah, but on replays your ass can try to solve them without a walkthrough this time.
It be like a whole new experience for you.
I never used walkthrough on my portal 2 playthrough and that time i was quite young too.
Dark Souls. It was a good game, but I will always prefer demon's Souls, so there's no reason to replay the lesser version.
Any of my favourite open world games. No matter how good. I spent 200 hours in MGSV:TPP, but I'll never play it again. I'm 125 hours in The Witcher 3, don't think I'll ever play again after I finished both expansions.
100 hours in RDR2, not gonna go through this again, even though it was amazing.
Then you have Oblivion & Skyrim.. I spent 500 + 300 hours in those games, never even came close to finishing main story.

That game was shit and one of the most bug riddled games I've played on the 360, and the first shat all over it 10x over.
Mercenaries 2 is the perfect example of how to **** up a sequel :(

The Godfather 2 as well, really full of bugs especially on pc. Both Godfather 2 and Mercenaries 2 were published by EA.
Persona 5
Red Dead Redemption 2
Witcher 3
Spent 100s of hours on them but now as a young adult, I don't see myself making the time to play through them again, at least not to completion.
Most of the 3d Zeldas and pretty much any rpg that I actually liked.
Even if they have me absorbed on that first run, they're usually a one-n-done. In some cases can revisit them years later, but it's rare.
If a games main draw is something like stats, loot, exploration, or especially story, I'm not likely coming back for more. And a game being longer only compounds the issue.
World of Warcraft comes to mind. Loved the game. Lost some interest and stopped playing shortly before the first expansion came, and from what I've seen, the game has become slightly worse with each expansion so I never felt like going back. Thought about trying out WoW Classic, but nah. Got new shit to play, and I'd feel pretty dirty if I supported the new and crappy Blizzard.
