What do you guys think it is?  I still think it's King Kong.

The Bluray Forum at AVSFORUM.COM also thinks King Kong is still the best looking movie on either format...Yes...The Bluray forum.........

Why are we removing animated features? I mean, King Kong wasn't exactly a live person in a costume.

I would say King Kong for sure, too bad the movie itself was mediocre and hard to warch more than once....still, it is eyecandy. I don't give Universal the credit, I say it's due to Mr. Jackson, since other HD-DVD's haven't been nearly as amazing.

I can't wait to see more movies look as great as King Kong though.

I haven't seen many of the new format movies, but King Kong itself was just ... as SolidTY said, "Mediocre" so it's kind of sad IMO to see a greater movie like Batman Begins couldn't have better visuals, or whatnot to show off the new format. Also, King Kong wasn't live action like Batman Begins was, which had little CGI use and looked fantastic. Truly wonderful...but CGI I guess beats this one... sadly.

Cuz alot of animated movies have 3D Pop, like Chicken Little, Ant Bully, & Happy Feet..Not too many non-animated films have that POP

Is this the HD-DVD version? I haven't seen it on HD-DVD and with a Good HD T.V., but I never had a problem seeing the movie on regular DVD... if HD-DVD offers more clarity, how could it look "too dark?"

Just a question, cause that movie looked amazing with the special effects, the design, settings, and most importantly the gadgets/tricks/etc from batman. :P

I got my HD-DVD player a few days ago and King Kong just blows me away with its clarity. I also have The Departed and Babel on HD-DVD but King Kong is definately the King of my HD-DVD jungle.
