Just curious what will come out of the poll really.
I know the NES and SNES holds more of a legacy, but personally I favour the N64.

SNES without question for me.
You had both third-party games and some of the best first-party titles a Ninty console has ever seen. You had Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Killer Instinct, Secret of Mana, Contra 3, F-Zero and Earthbound. Complete gaming bliss. The SNES and PS2 are my favorite systems ever.
The first hands down show me another nintendo console that had the first Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Mike Tyson's Punchout, Metroid, Metal Gear, Battletoads, Castlevania, Contra, Duck Hunt, Excitebike,Faxanadu, The Goonies 2, Ikari Warriors, Jackal, Karate Champ, Karnov, Kid Icarus, Ninja Gaiden, River City Ransom, Ring King, Strider, Techmo Bowl, Tetris, Trojan, Track and Field i could go on and on and on. The NES was the original and best still to this day imo.
i loved the snes and Nintendo 64 . I never really got to play NES as i was like 3 when super nintendo came out . But the gc sucked pretty bad for me . Like what the hell happen nintendo? The n64 was sooooooooo much better then this ! The wii was much better frist party wise but not much better third party .
because, those games weren't brought up by the wi. And actually wi is the worst Nintendo console everHow could people vote for anything other than the Wii? With backwards compatability and Virtual Console, it's all the previous systems combined.

Gamecube because of Metroid Prime alone...
second place is N64 for 4 player WCW games that will never be duplicated and Star Fox 64...
third place = SNES for the controller alone setting the standard for all future consoles...
The SNES is my favorite console of all time, period. About 80% of that is fully justifiable, while the other 20% is nostalgia. It was a good time in my youth and a great time to be a gamer.
Super Metroid, Mario World, Yoshis Island, Link to the Past, Mario Kart, Final Fantasies 4 and 6, Chrono Trigger, the best console Street Fighters at the time, tons of 3rd party support..... man I could go on about all the great games on this console. Instant classIcs were a regular occurrence on the SNES.
The Wii would be my second favorite. I'd like to say the NES, but entirely too much of that would be based on nostalgia.

Nintendo's Golden Age was obviously with SNES.

Console gamings Golden Age was obviously with SNES. :P
Dude, the Genesis was an amazing system too! /hedgehogAbsolutely, and I still play plenty of Genesis games as well. Its just that the SNES was overkill awesome. You could have taken away half of its best games and it still would have been amazing. As great as the Genesis was, it really just served as a nice compliment to the SNES for me. Sometimes it came through with better multiplats, plus it had 4 of the best Sonic games made and classIcs like Phantasy Star IV, SoR, etc... but it just couldn't outshine the SNES imo.
Still though, it was a big part of what made that the best damn time in gaming!
The only Nintendo console that didn't have any crippling flaws was the Super Nintendo.
NES- Poorly made hardware
N64- Horrid third party support.. Massive software droughts, cartridge medium hurt the games it did have in many many ways
GC- Bad support in general after the consoles midway point.. Even nintendo seemed to stop trying when it came to put out software for it towards the end. No online functionality when all its competitors had it. No multimedia capabilities
Wii- Again, bad third party support, While being different is a good thing, it went too far. Alienated developers, didn't get the same quality of titles outside of nintendo that gamers on other systems were getting. Poor online, etc.
Snes was basically a flawless system at the time of its release. Technically proficient.. fantastic first and third party support, well built and designed. It just did everything right.
There is only one correct answer: The Nintendo 64. Get N or get out.charizard1605
gamecube. :P
haha though really either one is the right answer. :P

The Gamecube was great, but for its time, the N64 was godly, a system that STILL hasn't been matched as far as the sheer number of paradigm shifting games, quality first party games, fun multiplayer games, or high quality exclusive games is concerned.[QUOTE="theuncharted34"][QUOTE="charizard1605"]There is only one correct answer: The Nintendo 64. I can't argue with the n64 though, so many amazing games it's ridiculous.
