What do you think is the best open-world sandbox game this gen.?

GTA IV, Crackdown, and maybe Just Cause 2.

If it counts as this gen, then Garry's Mod 10. If not, then GTA IV.

Saints Row 2.

Through all its flaws, Im going with farcry 2. No need to single me out here and tell me why its bad. I know Im like the only one in the world who enjoyed it 8)

Quality wise it's probably GTA4 but I had more fun with infamous.

I liked it, but the problem for me is that it took too long to go to objectives...other than that its all good

True, not to mention respawning enemies. My biggest and near only complaints. Typically though, I'd do some hunting via wildlife or merc camps along the way.

crackdown, SR2, and soon to be red dead redemption

I'm going with Borderlands or InFamous. Red Faction Guerrilla was pretty darn good also.

I enjoyed it too.

On top of that, I'd say Crackdown and Saints Row 2.

by far.

Assassin's Creed 2.

Out of my personal experience. I'd say inFamous for single player and Saints Row 2 for 2 player co-op. Both are awesome games.

GTA4 , INFAMOUS and Just cause is looking awesome oh and i dont care what people think but the sabotear (however you spell it) was very fun when i played it.

Best = Crackdown, Crysis, Stalker, Saints Row2 and GTA IV

Worst = AC2

I had a better time with crackdown and saints row 2 then i did with gtaiv

gta4 or assassins creed 2, but RDR will be the best sandbox game ever imo

I'm gonna say inFamous. I wasn't too impressed with GTAIV. It felt too watered down compared to San Andreas.

I'd say Red Dead Redemption will take it. I havn't played too many sandbox games this gen. Of the ones I've played I'd say Infamous...and if it is the best then just wow...this gen really need some sand box games. Infamous is good. But IMO, it is overrated. It needs 8 or 8.5. The only ones I have played are GTAIV and Infamous though. And GTAIV...I literally didn't like it. I'D feel bad for giving it 6.0...but thats kind of how I feel for it At the Moment.

Judging by the Just Cause 2 demo I don't think that will be better than either of them

For now GTAIV, Red Dead Redemption when it comes out

InFamous, Prototype and Red Faction Guerilla for me.

None of them have really impressed me that much to be honest, but if I had to choose it would be between GTA IV and inFamous.
