What's the chance of Uncharted 3 defeating Gears of war 3 with lesser polish?

It will be the same as the first and second games of the 2 series. Gears 3 will be a better multiplayer game and Uncharted 3 will be a better single player game. If you are talking graphics then Uncharted 3 will look better but it will have jaggies and some strange high color tone that will be distracting. I always thought Gears (mainly Gears 2) just had a perfect look for that type of game, and Epic did a good job not trying tp push the game to cause graphic screw ups. Naughty Dog seems to go overboard at times.

Gears 3 will be the better sequel. There's no doubt in my mind about that, considering how bad Gears 2 was.

Well at best the graphical difference will only tarnish maybe a 0.5 from the graphics side of things, other areas can make up for that.JohnF111

Gears 3 looks better, but both are pretty average looking.

Nah. WoW wasn't a looker even at release, not that it was trying to be. Besides, any game that constantly has a laundry list of bugs can't possibly win any "Polish" awards. How can something be polished/refined/finished when a dozen quests at any given time aren't working and some NPCs keep falling through the floor? :P

I love when people create damage control before a game releases... "less polish"? thats laughable. How do you or anyone know how much "polish" a game has been given prior to release? its a fodder word thrown around to buffer the inadaquacies of game.

Seeing as they've had a (rather active) forum dedicated to bug reporting since launch, a list of known issues (unfixed but acknowledged bugs) constantly updated since launch, and correct issues with almost every patch they release - including hotfixes for critical game errors - I'd say you've done some masterful bug dodging...
