Most pointless? :?
That's a weird question and all it's going to do is attract haters.

What? It is fact that it's MW3.
Same game, same engine, and a version of it was released last year. What the *** is the point of it? Well, except putting a ton of money into Kotick's hands.
MW3, and any yearly-released sports game like Madden, the Show, NHL, FIFA, etc.
Common-sense would dictate that these games should be on at least a 2-year cycle, especially since all consoles are online and it would be very easy to just release game/team/roster/announcer updates as patches.
Unfortunately, common sense doesn't dictate the release of these games: money does, and as long as people mindlessly flock to these games every year in droves, it'll stay the case.

Like I said it's only going to attract haters. :PYou actually proved my point. :?
Modern Warfare 3. Is anybody actually excited for the game, honestly? Because even though I've never been a fan, I feel the popularity of the game is kind of dwindling.
btw, that headline about the owners of modernwarfare3.com rerouting all traffic to the official BF3 site is downright hilarious.
It already won GOTY? Damm that was quick. Totally desirved it though.[QUOTE="WTA2k5"]
Two Worlds II GOTY Edition. I wish that was a joke, but it's not.
TailBlood
It came out in Europe last year, so it is feasible that it won GOTY over there.
I'd say the most pointless release is AC: Revelations. They really need to change up the formula with that series and slow things down, I don't think yearly AC releases is a good idea

I know. :P
Of course. :PNah I understand your points. You can understand what I mean though. This thread will just attract a lot of people that dislike some franchise or game they bought. :P

Duke Nukem Forever. It was in limbo for so long and should have just stayed there.

Agreed, and i'm worried that Half-Life 2 Episode 3 will meet the same fate.
Doubtful. Valve isn't struggling financially and I doubt HL:E3 (Or just HL3) will be suffering from constant engine changes. All of this effected 3D Realms.
Although I actually disagree with everyone saying DNF in the first place. Even if the game was a massive disappointment it still got Duke back out there and is giving Gearbox the chance to make their own. Which is great imo.
