Well, considering this board is full of "Lemming Fanboys" then my point still stands. There was a good amount of hype, at the very LEAST AA. But I'm much more inclined to believe a game they'd see as being one of their big ones, as being AAA.

But like I said, it's easily forgotten when a negative review or two pops up.

i was actually talking about those events where cows and lemmings would hyped something and give it an AAA status..and come official poll time when the game they hyped AAA has been shown off more and been givin early previews that dont sound very positive; they play it safe and lower the hype to avoid ownage. once the game is finally reviewed and is score matches the offical hype score..the fanboys then pretend the game was NEVER hyped higher then it was before the official score thread was givin or that only fakeboys hyped it to be an AAA.

Well the first trailer was 2k5, and 2k6 and 2k7 followed and hype was still high because all of that footage never really showed the game being played normally, it was either cutscenes or over exaggerated action sequences.

I'm not saying they were silly to hype it, I'm saying it's silly to say they never did. I had the impression that it was hyped a lot, because I was always hearing about it, seeing threads about it, seeing people use it to defend future libraries etc...

But I guess that was just me.

well it's the truth. they gave us these awesome looking screens but when we finally got some real gameplay people wasn't interested anymore. how can you ever call that pathetic? that is early exitement. however I agree some people blow things up to quick without knowing much about the game.

still think the game looks awesome though.

Well, i've been hyping it AA, and people have been hyping it AA for a long time before the reviews have even came out. :|

I remember some threads saying it would be graphics king because of some touched up screen shots that were revealed 5-6 months ago.

Anyway, current hype would probably be 8.0, and that's what i'm going for as well (despite some of the bad reviews, I think it'll still be solid)

I thought it was at least A-AA
