I still have my PS1 memory card which has save files from Final Fantasy 7 and Xenogears from like 20 years ago lol. I may have other games on there too, have to check again. But I think those are the oldest save files I have. How about you, SW? Do you still have your old save files? Which ones do you have?

My oldest would probably be Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System. The cart has battery backup and last time I played it (a few years ago) it still worked.

Still have my goodie good 128MB PS2 memory card and often, I'll replay my PS2 games and sadly, cannot say which game file is the oldest, just my PS2 128MB is far the oldest memory card I have as of now.

I still have a PlayStation 1 memory card so it’d be something on that.

Not sure - I have old DOS games I've been moving around on HDDs for a while with their saves, so probably one of those.

Same here, very old PC's and the Adam Computer ( Colecovision ) but I can't recall if I could save on those Digital Data Packs back in the day. lol

Now you mention old savefiles I have a box of old PS1 things including a few memory cards, so I guess the oldest I have is either Resident evil or Crash I think, whichever came first.

On hand, nothing special. Prob just some random ass game on Steam. I'm thinking my first save file ever was Legend of Zelda NES. First memory card saves were Final Fantasy 7. But those shits are long gone.

Reminds me of when you had to jot down a password to continue your progress, that sucked.

I have PS1, PS2, N64, Gamecube and Dreamcast cards with who knows what on them. I should bust them all out one day and check.

The original Reaident Evil on a PS1 memory card... But I haven't checked it in a long time, so not sure if the save file hasn't been erased.

You know I was trying to think back prior to pc and most of the shit I played didn't allow saves.

Even SFII: Turbo where you could unlock the 4 bosses, basically just left the SNES on as long as possible so I wouldn't have to collect them all again.

Guessing it probably is a save somewhere on an old un-used computer, mostly likely a 1990's FPS like Doom/Duke3D or Quake, as those were almost the sole reason for a PC gaming rig back in dem old days.

I still have a saved profile on Raptor: Call of the Shadows that I started when I was a kid, probably like 95 or 96.

Before I sold my Xbox 360 I backed up my game saves to cloud, so probably something about 14 years old when I first got it, maybe Gears and/or Rainbow Six Vegas and/or F.E.A.R., and about same year I got both Wii and DS and gotta have game saves on either.

This made me think way back to when games used to have level codes instead of save files. The oldest save file I have will still be on my Amiga 2000 in the loft.

Oh I'm sure I've got some floppies in my ol' carboard box full of games, probably makes it a good 25 years old.

I'm going to say Crash Bandicoot, most likely. Twisted Metal was my first PS1 game, but that had no save file.

Saves I have left and can use today is from the GameCube.

Edit: Wait, it's probably GameBoy Color, come to think of it. Pretty sure my OG GameBoy is fucked.
