What's the one game from this gen that you most want to see a sequel for?

Self-explanatory title. It could be any game, whether part of an existing series, new IP, whatever. Just has to be from this gen. My vote goes to Bloodborne. Thinking of the possibilities of where From Software could take the series is pretty intriguing. I consider the game one of the all time classics, and a sequel, I'm sure, would be just as good, if not better. As long as Miyazaki is making it, of course.

Sonic Mania. I need moar.

Shenmue 3.

While not released yet, it will within a year for this gen on PS4 and PC. According to Yu Suzuki, the series creator, a 4th Shenmue could complete the saga's story.

I would like another sunset overdrive really enjoyed it.

Bloodborne for sure.

Ori would've probably come to mind first, and thankfully we're getting it with Will of the Wisps :) Other than that, another Sunset Overdrive would be cool.

a sequel could be amazing. difficult to see how they'd improve upon the tension of the original. more of the same with better graphics probably wouldn't cut it. (ps) vr compatible would be a step in the right direction.

i'd say fallout 4, deus ex mankind divided, arkham knight and mass effect andromeda. all games that should have been up there with the best of the generation but didn't hit the heights they could've / should've for various reasons

Horizon: Zero Dawn sequel!

I've never played Alien Isolation, but always wanted to. At some point I started holding out for hope of a PSVR mode. From what I've seen, the game would be perfect (and terrifying) in VR.

Well since the first one was perfect in tension they can make the sequel similar to the way that Aliens movie was compare to Alien.( Add powerful weapons that can kill Aliens but still keep the survival Horror gameplay) And also add new types of Alien monsters.

And maybe add some bossfight battles since the first one didn't have any.

Horzion zero dawn and God of War.

it's an incredibly atmospheric and tense stealth-oriented cat and mouse game. the tension comes largely because you are all alone (hence, i assume, the name isolation) and are so under powered / equipped that you have to think fast, improvise and make best use of the environment and your very limited inventory to stay alive.

i'm not the biggest survival horror fan and i'm relatively immune to jump scares and typical horror game tropes the genre often serves up, but ai had me genuinely terrified at times. a vr version would be borderline cardiac arrest inducing. give it a whirl if any of that sounds appealing to you!

i think you're right they need to inject new ideas, my worry is that what your suggesting is by and large an entirely new type of game. powerful weapons and bosses means the loss of all the tension and jeopardy that made the first so memorable. bosses is also a bit of a gamble. deus ex human revolution is a good example of a game that suffered badly as a result of their (misguided) inclusion

I actually enjoyed it and while it has its faults I do think there's a lot of potential for improvement in a second game in terms of story and gameplay mechanics.

Probably The Wonderful 101 and Nioh.

I wouldn't mind another Metroid remake or sequel on the 3DS, even if they just reused the Samus Returns engine.
