Thank you for answering your own question in the first sentence. Jade Empire and Halo 2 have yet to be released on PC, Gears won't be for a while, neither will Mass Effect (if ever). By the time PC gamers get those game I might even be about to play Mass Effect 2, or at least another great game. That plus (I always end up repeating myself) splitscreen MP on my 55 inch plasma.
By the time PC gamers get Gears of war.. We'll have Crysis.. People need to stop overreacting on the xbox 360/pc game exclusivity.. now if Gears of War went to PS3 then that'd be a different story..
Also.. Who in the world would be sane enough to not get a 360 because they would rather "wait 2-3 years for Gears of War to come on PC" or Wait 2-3 years for Halo3 to go on PC" honestly.. wtf?

Well he 360 has a great lien up, even you have to admit it. Also no one can really wait for great games, for example games being ported to the PC, like GoW as you stated.

Those probably aren't the best examples - I highly doubt that Bioware has spent the last 2-3 years porting Jade Empire to the PC (speculation here, but I guess they just conceded to popular demand a decided to port it a few years after it's release), and Halo 2 was set back deliberately for the Vista launch.
Given Mass Effect's inevitable popularity, the gaps between ME 360 -> PC will be much shorter than JEÂ Xbox -> PC. The same applies for Halo - they aren't going to delay the PC port until the next Windows version comes out. Most other multiplats come out at roughly the same time, and are generally superior on the PC (graphically and mod-ically).
Still, if you don't want to wait, or if you're ok with getting fairly good looking games at a cheap price, then the 360 is the way to go. If you want the most out of your games, then be prepared to pay a bit more for a good gaming PC.
To play games. Why would anyone buy a console for a single game? I rented and completed Gears about a month ago. It is a good game though and I recommend people play it when they get the chance.

no i dont play games on a pc my laptop is for my school work (dang papers, i hate college) besides im more at home on a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse. plus gears, halo 3, and all those other games would come late 2 pc. like really late. im console only. and as far as consoles are concerned neither the wii or ps3 offer anything close to as good a shooter as halo or gears. killzone one sucked. big time. im banking on the second one being just as bad no matter how good it looks, resistance is not that good of a shooter. metroid prime is fun but no halo or gears. but then again i didnt buy a wii for shooters, nor am i buyin a ps3 for shooters. thats what 360 is for plus games like mass effect, and pc games that are good that will come to 360 is a bonus. 360 does tend to get more pc ported games than playstation. then again ps3 could change that. but u can also throw in the fact that xbox live is the better online service and there are enough reasons to buy a 360

what's the point of gettin a PS3, most games are gettin ported to 360....:? Some people don't have the money or time to upgrade a PC for Gears, so they buy a console as an alternative.

Gears is the best looking game currently out because it's the first game using the 'next-gen graphical technology'. If Epic had developed it as a PC game, it may have looked even better (due to potentially better hardware).
Perhaps 'fairly' was the wrong word - I just meant that an expensive gaming PC has 'great' graphics, and the 360 has 'fairly good' graphics. They're just arbitrary values I'm giving them :P.
And Mass Effect is made by Bioware. If it doesn't go to the PC, that'll be the first time in the company's 12-year history that they've made a console-exclusive game. So it's a fairly safe bet.
Anyway, back on topic, the 360 is still pretty much the best choice for a console this gen (so far, anyway)...and this is coming from a Wii owner.

The point is paying 400 dollars for 360 instead of paying 2000 dollars + for a pc that can handle games like GEow , MAss effect etc. So you save 2000 - 400 = 1600 dollars ,

Xbox 360 owners will probably be playing GeOW 2. PC owners will get Halo 2 when Xbox 360 has Halo 3.

Most games don't date well. The game is still good, but a lot of the wow factor is lost, due to the rate at which graphics and gameplay are improving. I'd rather have the game at the time of the hype and wowing.
