wtf is wrong with you people.... Play a game before you diss it...It's an MMO you watch someone play it, its gonna look lame. DC universe is not an exclusive and what mmo ever came out that wasn't bug free at launch?

Because it isn't a exclusive, and a MMO having polish at launch is unlikely.

True, but just looking at doesn't seem fun. The UI looks bad, its very grind heavy, and the combat looks weak.

The game is the opposite of grind heavy you reach level cap way to soon.

ME2 is much better than it's awful demo. Not the combat. That's stiff as hell, but the game itself makes up for it in a lot of ways. Just lower your expectations from "BEST GAME OF 2010" because it sure as hell isn't : D

I played some of it at a friends house(I made a character) did the tutorial stuff. Sadly that's all I tried. It wasn't a good impression I'm afraid as the combat was just me mashing buttons, and the customization was far more limited than i thought it would be. I thought I'd have a ridiculous range of powers, but it was kind of short on that end(probably have to unlock). I would buy it because some one of my friends are playing, and Bros before gaming preferences. But one of them has a character named night cheese. .....I mean really? Night Cheese?

...right. I'd argue it's serviceable at best and saved entirely on the powers he has, but I wouldn't say it's great. Not broken sure, Garbage? absolutely not. But certainly not great.

being better than mostly mediocre is hardly impressive. Personally when measured up against actual great shooters. The combat is far too wooden, the enemies are far too simple/bullet spongey at times, and the actual gun play doesn't have much going for it besides good feedback(which to be honest even Red Dead Redemption got right, and that thing is also too stiff for its own good).

I don't understand what you mean when you say the combat is "wooden." There is a great variety of enemy's throughout the game, and who cares if they are spongy? I perfer if my enemys can take some beating, it would be kinda lame if most enemy's simply died is 2-3 shots. it would strip out the challenge and make it a simple stop and pop shooter. The gun play is excellent from start to finish, the skill system adds depth which most shooters these days seem to lack.

It would be nice if you told me what third person shooters you are actually comparing ME2 too...

I never said that...I haven't even played Vanquish, and I most likely never will considering how short that game is said to be.

It's stiff. SHephard moves in a manner that is far too clunky, slow, and stiff. Basically I'd like it if he moved around as if he was a bit more flexible or took yoga.

Two things.
A: Who said anything about it lacking variety in enemies. While it gives you plenty of foes almost every level plays out similar. First 4 waves is just basic dudes after basic dudes in pocket arenas. With the 5th wave consistently ending with a bunch of dudes, and then one big dude that is either armored, biotic shielded, or BOTH(collector missions). Most of the enemy variety is mitigated by the sheer fact that most of them fight the same. It would be nice if they had more going for htem beyond the if they have a sheild or biotic powers or not. At least the Collectors were cool

B: Because all that health when the shooting is meh/the movement is too stiff just becames an artificial way to make it feel challenging. It doesn't provide any satisfaction, and quite frankly it doesn't do anything in terms of challenge either. In reality it's just a nice excuse for developers to make sure the AI are morons.

Except lacks any actual challenge, and all things considered Gears of War, Vanquish, and Uncharted 2 spank it on a combat level. Be it because of how much better the guns feel, how much more fluid the movement is, or how much more varied each set piece is. As for depth? what depth? The skill system is a random safety crutch power like Warp or something like Adrenaline Rush. Nothing really adds to making the combat more complex. Just gives Shephard an extra weapon to work with if you will. It's pretty simple, and far from honestly being deep enough to be worth praising over other shooters that have better combat schemes. And we're only name dropping third person shooters that play better, let's not get into FPS games that have more satisfying action.

I wouldn't exactly agree with that. The grind is short till endgame, but once your their, all it is is a grind for better gear. Still, the journey there is a lot more entertaining than most other MMO's, and the way the missions group up into little story arcs that end with an instance is very cool.

Congrats on the final statement, but you're the one that hopped on my comment for saying the combat isn't much better than what the demo really shows(outside of better scenarios). When I say it's stiff I say the movement just isn't anywhere near as fluid as Gears of War, Uncharted 2, and Vanquish. Other shooters don't feel anywhere near as wooden. I really don't know how to describe that any better than plenty of shooters just flat out move better.

And frankly Gears, more specifically 2 isn't anywhere near as repetitive. As it was consistently throwing new scenarios at you to make use of its basic gameplay. Admittedly the sequel had pacing issues, but the first game made up for its lack of enemy variety(which even then was more varied than ME2) with a better range of scenarios beyond Dudes, dudes, dudes, dudes, and finale with dudes with one big dude. But this is going around in a circle. So enjoy what you enjoy.

I hear that the consensus is that its great especially for the ps3 because somehow the UI doesn't really work well with the PC or something. I'm not touching it though until they have a proper official Asian release because I hear asian/oceanic players getting freezes every two minutes in the game which has made the game unplayable for most.
