Why do cow's always bring this game up as the 'NEXT BIG THING" for the ps3? I understand the hype around games like MGS4 and Killzone, but this doesnt even look like a proper game. Can someone please tell me why this is so high on the cow's most wanted list?oomph_aah
Because LBP looks and it will play awesome. I like the concept of making your own levels andthe rest soundspretty cool, especially since it's on a console that no one would expect it on.
I hate what sony has becoe, I hate the PS3, and I hate cows...
...but LBP looks simply fantastic. It is not only the only PS3 title that intrests me, it's by far one of this gens best upcomming titles IMO.
I agree with the cows, they do have something to be excited about.
Maybe you should ask some Gamespot editors what is so exciting about it , they awarded it Game of E3 afterall. Maybe you should do the same with all of the other professional game sites and magazines as well. We would like to know why people are talking about it.
I don't even own a PS3 and I think it will be big.
First off the game itself look like it will be a fresh and entertaining experience. Running the cute little burlap critters through gauntlet of obstacles and challenges. Obstacalescreated by mundane everyday items that we would just kick aside and keep going. (JUXATAPOSITION!.....right?.... *checks dictionary.com*....... yeah sure why not.)
Then you're given the option to make your own LittleBig Levels via the editing system. Which Starforge(Starcraft) made me realize, and Forge(Halo3)reminded me,that you can open up limitless possibilities for fun and amusement with a build-it-yourself system. (Even given limited tools) They should totally call it Little Big Forge......... but not really.
Plus a wholesome puzzly type game is a breath of fresh air now-a-days. I love killing as much as the next guy, but hey, lets give peace a chance.

I dont get it though, at its core everything you can do in Little Big Planet is boring. I havent seen anything that shows otherwise.
[QUOTE="Heil68"]Define 'prosper'.AdultsOnly
Define "literacy".

Prosper: to become better, stronger, or gain something
Just define "Proper" youjerks you know what he meant.
I think this isa very proper game. You're at the beginning, you want to be at the end, there is stuff in your way. Get past the stuff and get to the end. One of the oldest and purest gaming concepts.
LBP definitely has the best graphics of any side scroller I have yet to see any level design on it that seems to pose any challenge. They need to show one of these "really cool levels" they keep talking about.JiveT
you know nothing do you? You create your own levels... Thats what is so good about it... You create your own levels and then can share them. Not to mention you can link systems together and build a level together... I am a hermit and I will say this game looks awesome. Not as good as Spore, but then again, nothing can compete with Spore.

Yeah I know you can design your own levels. I wasn't writing a summary of the game I was just saying the levels they have shown don't seem to pose any challenge. If you don't want to make your own levels there should still be a game worth playing.

but that is the entire point of the game... the ENTIRE point of the game.

PS3's owner should hype this game more than they are.

As much as I hate doing this I gotta fall back on the Ol' "Different Strokes For Different Folks" (Dunno what the deal with the capitalization was) defense here. In light of your comment I went back and watched some trailers on gametrailers.com (DUR!) and I thought that everything looked smashingly entertaining. I especially liked how they make a little toy tank and rode it over some ramps, and ran inside the big "C" as it rolled around. But the concept of just screwing around with an editor and making your own damn game really is a bit of a hit or a miss deal. I guess is boils down to your mindset. Whether you enjoy structured activities or that lovey dovey hippy freedom to meander about stuff. I enjoy both really, but excel more at following orders as I'm not very clever. But I enjoy trying to be clever while I play games like little Big Planet.

Why do you write cows with an apostrophe when all you are doing is making the word plural?
The reason the game is so hyped because this game will allow for User-created content. Not only does it allow for user-created content, but it is really easy to make this content and it is a key part of the game. Also, it just looks like it will be fun to play.
Are FPSs and RPGs the only games that deserve to be hyped?
[QUOTE="im_different"]so......you can design levels in halo3 with up to 16 players in forge. except you also have guns.horrowhip
.. you calling LBP's capabilities less than Forge's is beyond pathetic...
Even comparing the pathetic Forge to LittleBigPlanet is laughable.
It is like saying that a house cat could take down a T-Rex.
it looks like a very fun innovative game...-D3MO-Its not "innovative" per-say. Its a modern retelling of TIMs.
LittleBigPlanet is probably the ONLY contender for Perfect 10 this generation.

Don't forget about Final Fantasy XIII... that game is going to be EPIC!
The fact that YOU can make it into a AAA game.blizzardmist88
I couldn't agree with you more. The game's greatness is only limited by the gamers creativity. Plus, it looks like a very refreshing title from all the head chopping (NG2) and stealth killing (MGS4) gamers will be doing in 2008.
so......you can design levels in halo3 with up to 16 players in forge. except you also have guns.im_differentwow i dont know what to say except....you fail...alot
What's with lemming's and Viva Pinata.myster_samz
