What's up with the anti-PS3ism?

 What makes PS3 so bad? I own one, and I think its amazing - like I honestly can't find anything to complain about it other then the fact it cost like 600 bucks and a couple of crappy ports (not the systems fault, don't live in denile of that lol). It supports 1080p resolution, it comes with a Blu-Ray player, FREE online forever, SIXAXIS is pretty cool, I like the idea of virtual memory cards for PSone/PS2 games, I like the PSP-style set-up. Although the amount of games are a bit dry (except for of course Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall of Man and (although some dislike this one) Armored Core 4), there are some really cool ones coming down the road (The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, FFXIII, DMC4, RE5, Lair, Heavenly Sword and MGS4) with all of this, I can't see why the PS3 is so hated on. I was just wondering if some people could enlighten me to the dark secrets of my 600 dollar purchase, because I can really see nothing wrong with it lol

Basically, Sony drew in the majority of game players with the PlayStation brand. And the majority of game players thinks $600 is too much money for a console. The majority is also used to playing certain games, which most of them arent exclusive to Sony anymore. Basically Sony ostracised its core fan base.

Doubt it, most casual gamers dont know or care about those two games. Most gamers only care about Madden, GTA and Final Fantasy. First two are announced multiplatform, and the latters exclusivity is in limbo.

 And they hate it because of the massive anti-sony hype generated by this pointless hateful crap. I'm sure "every gamer you know" (probably all XBL junkies anyways) have never even spent time playing a PS3. And if they have they went into it trying to hate it and obviously would. There's absolutely nothing wrong with PS3 that would make people desperately hate it like they do. Resistance is great, price is fine for what you get, great games coming at the end of this year. It's a fine system that doesn't deserve the crap it gets long before first year games..... I mean 360 was utter junk until late last year.

About the price tag thingy, what MANY people don't understand is that Sony isn't ripping you off, I seen 2 videos on YouTube that explained the logic of it and it's reasonable. I don't play my PS3 all the time because I do other things but I'd be much happier with a PS3 then any other console. Reason is: I don't like the Wii PERIOD. I hate the 360 controller.firestorm91

Sony isn't ripping people off (especially knowing that Sony is the one taking a hit).  People just aren't

ready to spend $600 on a game system. The PS3 is out a little too early for its own good.  

Hopefully in 2 years when HD has spread a bit more, people will be more accepting of the PS3.
