whats with all the nintendo hate?

All I'm hearing from people lately is "Wii Fit oh noez nintendo hate us:cry:" and "nintendo doesn't care about their fanbase anymore:cry:" what a load of crap.

Nintendo seems to be working harder than ever to please their fans.

When have they ever released a new super mario, metroid, smash bros, zelda and mariokart all within the space of six months? Never! that's when.

add in lesser known franchises like fire emblem and battallion wars and interesting original games like forever blue.

And all anyone cares about is wii fit.:?

wii fit is nothing compared to the garbage sony spewed out with the ps2 like Buzz (a trivia game), singstar (a karaoke game)and eyetoy (minigames. not just minigames but bad ones. like wii play level of shallowness)

consider yourself lucky you don't live here in australia where these games constantly topped the charts and were advertised like crazy. And it wasn't just one of each, sony released about 8 of these singstar games, 5 eyetoygames and 5 buzzgames and us australians ate each and every one up year after year.Non games arenothing new.

Wii fit and wii sports (or nintendo for that matter) are not the death of gaming. Far from it actually. If they can create positive media exposure and a better public conception of videogames in general than I (and so should you) welcome them with open arms.

Who knows, we may be able to credit nintendo for changing the stereotype that gamers arenerds with no life.

Just so you know wii is my first nintendo console and I don't hate sony: I've been a playstation man for most of my short life.

I'll buy a ps3 when its price is acceptable. No way I'm paying $1000 AU:x

Singstar is a great game when you have a group of people around and you're all drinking, I don't know what your beef with it is - it's cool like Guitar Hero. Buzz I never liked, the Eyetoy games are pretty poor. And besides, you should be glad you live in Australia, its one of the best countries to live in in the world.

I didn't say singstar was bad, but the way sony justput them out every couple of months with different songs and the fact that people kept buying them was disgusting.

Takes them an extra 6 months to release it in europe, thats amateurish especially when they call themselves such a ''big publisher''. Same goes for Trauma Center, Atlus are hyping a new one but haven't even released Second Opinion yet. Mass Effect is due for a release a only a couple months after the american version and imagine all the dialogue in that, thankyou Microsoft and Bioware for getting great games quickly to the fans.
