What's with Kz2? Was it supposed to be good?

Why are the forums filled with Kz2 fail threads? Why was it hyped when Kz1 was just ok? Has everyone lost their minds?eccoisgood

It's an exclusive, and it's a shooter. That automatically equals AAA hype.

There are 2 sides to the Killzone 2 story.

1) There first is the ungodly levels of hype and rediculous claims by cows about its graphics, better than any other graphics, cannot be done on any other system. They are the ones who hyped the game far too much.

2) Then you get the haters who bash Killzone 2 for anything positive. They will attack the game and focus just on its weakspots while ignoring the fact that its a very good shooter.

The reality is that its between those 2 points of view. Its a damn good first person shooter, with some of the best highest production values and polish a game can be given. It looks stunning and credit should go to the developers considering the art of the game, the imagination and vision they had! Sure its not the most innovative game but there is no rule that says a good game 'has' to be!

I agree, I recently picked it up and i must say its definately an impressive shooter. I've enjoyed it very much thus far.

It was just ULTRA hyped FPS. if anyone were to answer BEFORE RELEASE what KZ 2 would sell in 1 week, all would say 1 million - 1.5 million, LOL. But it sold 300k only in February, which means that it earned the sales flop status, and thats not compared to anything elseTheHeroism

Its a good game, although in my opinion less enjoyable than COD4. But its not a failure by any means. PS3 owners should be happy with the game. I just hope GG releases some game modes. I dont know what it is, but something is missing from making this game a great one IMO. But like i said, it is a really good game. An 8.5-9 IMO.lhughey

it's generic,however I have to admit that Kz2 is a fun game,and a very polished run of the mill shooter.the story and dialogue is horrendous though.
