let me start by saying RARE is my favorite developer of all time and still currently.
Kameo was good, nothing extraordinary, PDZ was good but ... diferent, viva pinata was phenomenal IMO.
Im waiting to see if RARE makes a come back with the great banjo kazooie franchise which IMO is better than mario 64, or any other platforming franchise.
what is the most interesting is what BK3's competition will be this year...

Rare hasn't been making their games as good as they used to. As much as I would love Banjo Threeie to be an awesome title, I'm refraining from keeping my hopes up for the moment.

I know, and RARE sounds really promising with the title this time, they say they will update the gameplay mechanics, and even the music man is back for the title. I cant wait

I could care less about the review because I love RARE, but I would say it would nail a high AA, or low AAA. but who knows.

Yeah, it's a shame they aren't churning out the games like they used to in their golden age of the N64 era... But nonetheless, Banjo Threeie does look pretty promising seeing how the original dev team is coming back to make it.

well RARE's games honestly have not changed that much at all, its the industry that has changed and evolved and RARE's gameplay that has aged. luckily RARE says they will update the gameplay to today's standards on banjo kazooie. Most of the old icons of gaming aren't as great as they used to be, when in reality they haven't changed.
Hopefully Rare incorporates some fun that reminds me of their old Nintendo games....I haven't been impressed by anything they dished out to 360 so far.
I loved BK and BT but then again I loved PD and wasn't impressed by PDZ.

platforming as a whole is declining, how many "good" platformers do we see really

thank god RARE is bringing back banjo, the industry needs it I haven't considered Rare a developer that's lost their marbles. It definately has potential. It's just that I REALLY didn't like Perfect Dark Zero, the sequel to probrably the only Rare game I enjoyed more than Banjo.

I couldn't agree more. We all remember how awesome the Banjo games were, when they were new, in the late 90s, but Rare will have to do a lot more than sex up the graphics if they want the new game to impress people now the way it did way back then.
All I know is that Rare better keep the goofy voices because I will really be upset if Banjo, Kazooie, and the other cast of characters have actual voice overs. But if Rare keeps the goofy voices, Gamespot will surely deduct points for it since you will have to read text. God forbid, I have to read:roll:

They should have an option before playing the game for Voice Acting or Garbled Speech.
