Microsoft. They merely took the Sony Buisness plan from the PS2 and applied it to this gen: offer a cheaper console than their main compettitor(Sony), with a larger and better library of games rather than worry about graphical power.

Everyone does. The word "rehash" needs to be removed from the lexicon. By force, if necessary.

Hey, if the formula works, why change it? Let new IPs be the testing ground for new ideas. Let established franchises do what makes them great.

sony and microsoft havent been around as long, and when they've seen as many gens and nintendo has by this point Im sure the numbers will match up. look at rachet. anyways I think if you actually play some games you'll find that they do experiment with thier franchises (Majora, Galaxy, Prime, etc.) but since it looks similar cosmetically people tend to think of it as the same game... which is really dumb. I think they're all equal by the way, share the same amount of benefits as annoyances

PS3 actually held up very well against the Wii. I had a Wii, was good for about a month, then sat for about a year. Motion control was a great novelty until you realize that the Wii Hardware AND Software was inferior to what Sony and Microsoft had to offer (Mario is great when you're 12, but as you get older, sometimes your tastes change, as well as the characters you can identify with.). The Wii is now on loan to my God son indefinitely, and I really don't miss it.

i also heard a LONG time ago that deadlocked was the last one as well

if i game is in demand they'll make it....which is why nintendo still makes what they make

if you own a restaurant and a bologna sandwhich sells more than anything else on your menu, are you just gonna stop making those sandwhiches? or are you gonna keep making more?

you gotta look at it in a money point of view

For the Poll I said they are all equal (That isn't true IMO) but they are close enough to Equal I like Nintendo more then the others but the other consoles are still great I even loved SEGA's consoles I was sad when the Dreamcast got discontinued.

I like how Nintendo builds their consoles like tanks, MS makes a console that has more of the games I want, and Sony makes a console with all the best hardware features. It's a wash.

Nintendo because the Wii and DS has games that appeal to me far more than the PS3 or 360 does.

Nintendo, because they make great games with a lot of heart and soul. The other two can't really claim that IMO.

[QUOTE="Yandere"] BUT, Ratchet & Clank still has less and the series ended. Yandere

Metroid was released 22 years ago :|

Your grasping at straws dude trying to bash nintendo and their IP's

No, my point being is that Nintendo doesn't have any series with less games than Sony or Microsoft, and it's still intact.

And so what :? Metroids isn't Donkey kong it hasn't gone down the tube in countless garbage gimmick games. Nintendo still makes top quality AAA stuff with its "rehashes" so it must not be that bad.

We aren't discussing if they're good games, only about if they rehash.

Wait how is Metroid a rehash :? because a 2d side scroller turning into a 3d action platforming/ shooting game isnt a rehash by any stretch :? R&C games are more of a rehash then Metroid prime (if they were even)

you're not gonna change his mind. I personally believe rehash =/= franchise, anyone who's played these franchises actually knows the fundemental changes, but since it has the same look it will be discared.

Definitely Sony, and I'm talking not just about the consoles but the fact that they ACTUALLY let you buy 3rd party accessories for you PS3 ie. a 320GB Hard Drive for 55$ compared to Microsofts 120GB Hard Drive for a whopping 150$. Microsoft wont let anyone have 3rd party stuff for their system.
