What's your favorite new IP that you've played recently?

Mine is Astral Chain. Really love this game. It's one of Platinum's best in my opinion. I've made it to the prologue chapter and have been doing all of the combat missions and it's just really fun. Not a perfect game by an means. The story and the characters were pretty bleh. But the atmosphere and the overall art are great. So is the music. Music is up there with Nier Automata as one of the greats of this gen.

How about you, SW? Favorite new IP that you've played recently?

This thread made me realize that i haven't played any new IP in a while, and actually don't remember what was the last one, but I'd say Astral Chain is the most interesting of the ones that have been released recently.

Mine is horizon zero dawn which I'm about 30+ hours in. Likeable character smooth gameplay graphically great. Horizon 2 is a console seller for me.

Hollow Knight.

Well...while I wouldn't say it's the newest IP that I've played, Sword Art Online comes to mind. Hearts of Iron is a pretty close contender since I played it more then SAO in a lesser time period even though I like the SAO games a bit better.

I've only played Code Vein recently, which is decent. It's not gonna change the face of gaming, but it's alright.

Control is my new favorite IP game I played recently and the game deserves more credit what Remedy made. Second place comes A Plague Tale: Innocence was a nice surprise for a new IP game that came out of nowhere I personally enjoy.

Plague a tale of innocence was absolutely amazing, but the story got pretty stupid towards the end.

Astral Chain is easily one of the best new IP's this entire year, if not THE best.

I loved Astral Chain so much and it was also my most hyped game this year. I was worried about the "live by the hype, die by the hype" would bring the game down, but it did not. Astral Chain exceeded all of my expectations and might just be my GOTY.

In the last year, Astro Bot.

There are too many: Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Astro Bot, Divinity OS, They are Billions, Thimbleweed Park...to name a few new IPs i simply love.

Really enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn, Spiderman PS4 (not sure if this counts), Dead Cells

I haven't bought a new IP in a while. I really enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn. I bought Prey recently but I wasn't really feeling it. It was kind of slow and I'm not the biggest fan of FPS's

I'd agree with horizon recently beat it and enjoyed every moment of it. Interesting story intriguing story and graphically amazing.

Judgement (if that counts), otherwise it's Azure Striker Gunvolt. As a big Mega Man fan, it did what Mighty No. 9 was supposed to do, and served as a replacement series. Now that Mega Man is back, I have two good series to play now.

They are billions. Mixing RTS with zombies is pure gold.

Mass Effect Andromeda was a pretty good new IP. Too bad it doesn't have a sequel. Spider-man was a great IP. Also, GOW, LoU, and Death Stranding.

A lot of new great Sony IP's.

Hollow Knight is one of the most endearing games I have played ... Loved the game and I can't wait for the sequel.

Recently started sunset overdrive and really enjoying it. The weapons feel great and the constant movement amd bright visuals hold up very well. Very good game so far.

That said, did you know there is no Bloodborne 2 yet? Sony and From make Bloodborne 2 plis.

Not sure but I think that it might have been Octopath Traveler so I’ll go with that one. Great game and I really enjoyed it. I haven’t played Astral Chain yet though and I am very much looking forward to it.

Had lots of fun with all of these and definitely want more.

After finishing sunset overdrive yesterday I'd definitely include that. Surprisingly enjoyable experience very detailed colourful world with charm. PlayStation have had quite a few new ip which stand out for me has to be horizon which I thought was incredible.

Probably Overwatch.

Tried playing HLL during the free weekend, when there were loads of players. But it was still a zoomed in 16:9 FOV.
