What's Your favorite Zelda Clones?

With 3D dot game heroes release around the corner,let's start a thread to discuss Zelda clones or Action Adventure games in the same vein as Zelda.

For me it's the two Genesis games Landstalker and Crusader of Centy, enjoyed both much more than any Zelda

I believe there was one called Alundra and another called Terranigma, actually action-RPG but still kinda overall same vein.

Both ****c Gems..ever play Golden Axe Warrior for the Master System? it was slammed hard back in the day for being too much like the Legend of Zelda..but over time has become quite the cult hit...I recommend it...you can actually unlock it on that Sonic's Ultimate Sega Collection for Ps3/360.

..or through other means that cant be talked about on here.

pretty much...action adventure,travel around huge hub world..enter dungeon,solve puzzles,gain new item/ability,beat boss with said item/ability/use that newfound item/ability to access other areas previously locked in hub world...rinse and repeat.

Great game, but its alot more out there than any other Zelda Ive played.

Alundra had some brutal puzzles.

I honestly think in some ways...Alundra is alittle Superior to ALTTP.A shame the sequel was such a crap.

That also makes sense. Maybe something like Darksiders also.

But not pretty much action adventure. Because Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Onimusha and Metal Gear Solid are all action adventure and they are not like Zelda style.

Alundra, I though it was better than Zelda.

The puzzles were the best part. Some of the most brutal puzzles Ive seen in an ARPG since ENIXs Brain Lord on the SNES.

I agree, Alundra kinda exceeded ALTTP and many other Zeldas in quite a few ways.

Well these games where actual ARPG's. Zelda has always been an ARPG wannabe. That's probably why it was better, because it was like it should be.

1. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy

2. Dragon Ball: Origins (even though it is a stage based game, there are a hell load of things borrowed from Zelda)

3: Star Fox Adventures

4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (yes, I really like this game)

Nothing. There's no game out there that I have played that can be compared to the Zelda series or at least as good.

Okami, and to some people, Dark Cloud 2 is a Zelda killer.
