Like: Platformers, Beat 'em ups, Action Adventures, Shooters, Shmups, Run 'n Gun, Arcade Racers, Fighters, Star Fighter Sims, RPGs, Sports, Hack 'n Slash

Dislike: Horror and Stealth

FPS ok.

Sport games are shit.

Racing games are extremely boring. Besides UFC I dislike all sports games as well.

I can live with the rest.

Like: JRPG's, RPG's, Action/Adventure, Fighters, Crossover Fighters(Super Smash Bros, Jstars, Playstation All-Stars)

Dislike: Sports and Horror

I should mention first that outside of sports, adventure, and strategy games, I like my games to be in first-person, regardless of genre. I like to pretend it's me in the game. Not seeing the player character makes immersion easier.

That said, I like:

• FPS
• Flight sims
• RPGs with guns (not swords, shield, or magic)
• Strategy, both turn-based and real-time
• Adventure - also includes action-adventure
• Classic - examples: pinball and billiards
• Sports games

The above are my favorite genres. Those not mentioned? It depends on how I feel at the moment. For example, I'm not a big fan of fighters. But, if I get the opportunity to play one like at somebody's house, I'd try it out.

There aren't any genres that I really dislike, but the number of point and click adventure, sports sim, and rpgs that have held my attention are somewhat limited.

FPS but mostly old school and immersive sims. FPS that are good are so good. FPS that are bad are so bad. its by far my fav genre but i can assure you theres more terrible FPS than good FPS.

Stealth games if they done properly.

I like some good action games.

I hate JRPGs because they are too animu and girlish

third person shooters because they suck so much. only few TPS games are really good but rest of them are crap. cover peak shoot.

I hate open world games like GTA, Far cry, assassins creed, witcher 3, skyrim and so on. i rather eat sleeping pills than play those boring games.

Favorites:

- Tactical RPGs.

- Western "isometric" RPGs.

- Japanese RPGs.

- 2D platformers.

- 4X games (Civilization and stuff).

Least favorites:

- FPS. I genuinely dislike the genre, but they also give me motion sickness. I would love to play the Metroid Prime games, which most certainly don't feel like FPS, but they still give me motion sickness...

- "Realistic" racing games. I like Mario Kart, but I can't stand all the "serious" driving games.

Then there are other genres, like MMORPGs, which I should like, but can't really get into because I don't have the discipline or the patience.

I hate video games.

Likes:

Pretty much anything where I can take time and consider my strategy.

RPGS, RTS, 4x etc.

I play the occasional FPS, but I lean towards the less realistic themed ones. Max Payne, Unreal, DOOM, etc.

I don't hate a particular genre so much as the rapid Michael Bayzation that seems to have happened with video games. Shit needs to be exploding every 5 minutes or gamers lose interest etc.

Hates:

Sports games. Not really "hate" per se. I would simply rather go play the actual sport rather than a video game based on it.

My least favourite gente is probably sports.

I don't have a specific favorite because I always rotate through them. My least favorite though are Japanese games...specifically JRPGs. Awful dialogue, awful storytelling, awful writing in general. Just awful all-around.

it shift to open world. open world is popular and dominate genre of this gen. althought they are most boring ones too.

My favorite is 2D platformers. My least favorite is JRPGs.

But in all seriousness I really dislike games they attempt to be realistic but are not. Arcade racers are the worst, I don't mind arcade style games as long as they don't pretend to be something they are not, and the more ridiculous the better.

RPGs are my favorite types of games because they bring the most gameplay variety. Shooters have been my least favorite lately because they haven't evolved in any meaningful way the past 20 years, hopefully VR can add something.

I like pretty much everything. If I really had to chose FPS would probably be my more favoured and the only genre I don't care for are JRPG's.

I hate puzzle games, all puzzle games meaning I don't like that genre, it's a pretty simple concept. So by you saying that you like a few racing games then you indeed like that genre.

Every other genre I've at some point been fairly into over the years.

Except JRPG. I have bought some since I own a PS4 so I'll give it a shot.

I like everything that uses the brain more than reflexes. I'm into strategic JRPGs, JRPGs and turn based strategy games. I do play games that mainly use reflexes and pattern-recognition, but I'll rarely reach a pro level. It was enough to Plat Tekken 7 for example, but I'll never be able to compete with the better players. What i really dislike are sports games (like Hockey or Basketball), at least most of them, since I just don't care about the sport. I also rarely find a racing sim entertaining, there are a few exceptions though.

There's like 4. But I don't really "hate" them.

One is the Real Time Strategy genre, Which I will say there are games in the genre that I do like, such as Age of Empires 2, Command & Conquer Red Alert 2, and DOTA, but I don't find myself saying "OH MAN! I GOTTA GET THE NEW TOTAL WAR GAME!"

I'm also not a huge fan of Sports games. Nothing wrong with Madden or the 2K basket ball games, but I prefer the Arcade sports games like NFL Blitz or NBA Jam. And even then I rarely if ever play those games.

Simulator games are another Rare genre I dive into. I can see what makes people play them and really I kinda want to play more of something like "The Sims" and I even liked playing Sim City back in the day, but I just don't have the time or motivation to continue playing games like this.

The Big one for me is probably the MMO genre. I DO like these games and DO play them occasionally, but I don't hop on them every day of my life. Games like Guild Wars 2, FFXIV, and WOW are NOT my only games. I have a lot to play and some times I just have to drop some titles and that's probably why these 4 genres don't see a lot of my attention.

As of now, I mostly like JRPG (preferably turn based), occasionally strategy RPG.

I like virtually anything that isn't a turn-based rpg or fighting game.

I pretty much enjoy all types of games, mostly FPS, Action/Adventure, classic Shmups, and retro action paced games.

I dislike JPRGs or TB RPGs, rhythm games (if they still exists), 3D/2D fighting games (used to enjoy them in Gen 4-5)

Fucking hate with a passion: loot rpgs.

Dungeon crawler type games like diablo, world of war craft, league of legends, etc I think they're just a waste of time

Racers --- I liked need for speed underground 2 and burnout, but I find them boring for the most part unless it's something like sleeping dogs or GTAV

Platformers -- really don't like jumping or climbing in games, it's just not fun even in games I love like uncharted 4, the climbing is just exessive in some sections
