Whats your favourite GTA Game ?

Mine is Grand Theft Auto 4 - It's simply put one of the best games ever made, I love listening to the soundtrack, especially Vladivstock FM, and just going around Liberty City putting in the cheats, and flying around the chopper and skydiving and creating traffic jams etc.... :D

I've only played Liberty City Stories apart from GTA4, but that game sucks :( !

So anyway what is your favourite GTA game ?

And remember there is no "best" GTA game so don't flame other people :P !

GTA 3 - Blew me away 5/5

Vice City - Made it more awesome, bikes, the 80's themes, characters 5/5

san andreas - From the begining I knew this was gonna be one hell of a game.. starting on a a bicycle peddling... ryder... the boyz in the hood theme. Perfect. Beating that game was such a challenge and it was really fun. I really felt Like i was in the ghetto.. or cali they nailed that feeling.

Swimming, the rpg elements, and the ridiculous amounts of things to do.Custimizable rides, after you beat the game and have to defend your territory. 5/5.

gta 4...great graphics...but not fun. Boring city, boring characters, graphics didnt do anything for this game. I dont know what it is I just did not have any fun with this one to me the series topped with san andreas. There was no fun in this game for me. I did not want to finish this game but i will wait a couple of years and see if it was good.

In other terms...

gta 3 = mario 64

gta vice city = mario galaxy

gta san andreas = mario galaxy 2

gta 4 = sunshine

For me its Vice City.

Vice City has the music, the setting, the 80's, few parodies of scarface movie, bikes and big improvement over GTA 3. Just great and fun game

GTA 4 is probably my 2nd favourite, than

GTA 3 and

least favourite is San Andreas (not saying its bad, its good game just prefer others ones more.

In my opinion:

GTA4 = GTA EfLC = GTA San Andreas >>> GTA Vice City >>> GTA 3 >>> GTA >>>>>>> GTA London >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GTA 2

San Andreas. I clocked that game like 15 times.

Vice City,nothing can beat the 80´s.

Well since I have only played San Andreas and GTAIV it's a pretty easy pick. San Andreas.

I love Vice City and my knee jerk reaction is to go with it. But I played San Andreas off and on until IV released. Just a ridiculous amount to enjoy in that game. I have to go with that.

I though IV was great, in much the same way I loved III. III was a little more standard nuts and bolts than :VC and :SA and I expect R* will deliver bigger and better again with their upcoming entry now that the heavy lifting of making an engine for this gen is taken care of.

Vice City,nothing can beat the 80´s.

GTA: SA. Number 1. Beat it 4 times already, 3 times at 100% of and on since 2004....If you can keep track of how much hours I spent on that game...well...

GTA:VC: Number 2. The sound track definately beats SA. But SA on everything else, just takes it up a notch! So VC stays a close second

GTA III: Distant third. Typical since GTA III started the 3D sandbox genre

GTA IV: A very distant 4th. I had to drag myself to beat it. To show you how hard I tried to love the game and end up failing, everything else, I got at least once 100%. GTA IV....Didn't bother. Dragged myself and beat the game 4 months after release, then it just collected dust, no 100% completion. Felt it wasn't worth it.

Vice City. San Andreas was a pile of fun but VC was better overall. Atmosphere, story, soundtrack. I've gone through a love/hate/love thing with GTA IV. I love that game now, and the EFLC stuff even more. That game engine with the atmosphere on par with Vice City would be the best game this gen.Hahadouken

San Andreas really. GTA IV is close to being my favorite but there isn't much fun factor.

It's really Really close between Vice City and San Andreas. But because of all the stuff you can do I'd pick San Andreas. Never put so much time into any other game before, and I still keep playing it every now and then.

The Episodes From Liberty City addons for GTA IV made the game really fun again for me as well. Not that I didn't love GTA IV, just that it didn't offer much to do like the old ones did for after the main missions. And it was too serious plus people ruined it complaining it wasn't "Realistic" so now they took things out like planes and cool stuff. When I want something to be realistic I go to work, and pay bills, when I want to have fun and do things that I can't in real life I think GTA (and gaming in general).

Anyways, GTA San Andreas was my favorite.

san andreas i just loved the over the top amount of things to do, vice city is second with IV third.

Ok so you've only played one other GTA game, and a mediocre one at that, and you're ready to make an informed decision about your favorite GTA? Likely you wouldn't appreciate the old GTA's though if you didn't grow up with them. I'mma go with San Andreas on this one. It just did so much, and did the majority of it right.It had a cool story, the best world, the most stuff to do after the campaign was over, etc. Vice City was great too and so was III, even if it feels a bit dated now. IV was dissapointing and vastly overrated.

GTAIV is the only GTA game I didn't grow bored of after ten hours of gameplay. (except GTA SA I enjoy that tilte as well)

Vice City. It's one of my all time favourite games as well. Had "Automatic" by the Pointer Sisters stuck in my head for about 6 months :lol:
