You know, the funny commercials with jerry sienfeld and bill gates...

i personnaly think it's funny however it doesnt clearly advertise the prduct, its suposidly saying that microsoft got off on a bad start and now there trying to get back into the average community and hoping they will adopt windows vista as an operating system.

I thought this suited system wars well because theres probably some pretty large sums of PC

They shouldn't have spent millions on those, rather, they should have just spread awareness of Mojave.

It shows a human face for Microsoft. In that aspect its a success.

However, this is way outside the scope of the System Wars board. Try Off Topic.

System Wars is more geared toward game systems competing, not the OS battles. In SW a PC is a system, and a Mac is a PC.

I don't know, I remember alot of Blu-ray vs HD-DVD topics in system wars and they didn't really have alot to do with video games. Why should this be treated any different?

HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discussions were also banned from SW, and posts about them were locked. It was even a sticky for quite a while.

EDIT: In fact, its still in the SW Rules sticky.

Why is that even still in the sticky? Didn't Blu-ray thrash HD-DVD already?

Yes. HD-DVD has been officially dead for a while. And I would guess its still in the sticky because no one mentioned it to a mod to remove it before. Guess it doesn't hurt anything to leave it in though.

Well then my statement still stands, this topic shouldn't be treated any differently and should be locked.

I enjoied the commericals..The point of them are to show MS's human side, and that they are just like everyone else and are going out to connect to people..while abit funny they do get the point across that MS is not some greedy money hungry monster that wants to control every computer in the world..there just average human beings like you and me..

At least thats what i got from the commericals..

We must have been watching two totally different things.
