What’s your score prediction for Starfield?

I did said Starfield will get a 9/10 in the previous thread, so I'm still going with that.

I'm gonna go with 6 on Starfield. I accurately predicted Cyberjunk 2077 would be the biggest flop ever, and accurately predicted Elden Ring's exact 96 on metacritc and GOAT status. To name but a few.

Going with my gut again. But its free on Gamepass (Thank you Phil) anyway.

Bethesda will have many game journos paid off through goody bags and being friends in PR with them, so it will get at least an 8.

In reality if will be a 6, like all Bethesda games take at least 3 months for the spell to fall till we all call it shit.

Honestly with GameSpot can be anything between 6 and 8. They've been consistently putting out bad reviews so it's kind of irrelevant.

I'll let you know mine when I've finished it,but here at GS i recon a 9 with a 91 meta.

The game is bug free, run fine, deeper than Skyrim. with more and more improved combat.

My freind, love for this game to be possibly the most thing ever. But every game since Morrowthewind has been ok at best.

So, not really seeing any reason to blow my load. Gamers get hyped at any old shit, game journos are mostly useless and Champs dead, off to that Hobbit heaven place at the end of LOTR place with Conan or whatever the **** it is.

Give me a reason to be excited. Can't see anything here.

9/10. I think the developers have a lot of talent and I could see myself playing it for months.

At least an 8. If it's a buggy, broken mess, it'll get less.

• Innovative space exploration game never done in past.
• Bethesda first new IP in 30 years and not rehaash of fallout/skyrim
• Finally a good combat in Bethesda RPG/shooter (kudos for assistance from id software)
• Space combat, FPS gun combat, RPG elements with open space exploration

obviously glad they made new space IP instead of fallout crap they ruined it first.

Going out on a limb here and saying 10/10.

Not because I am particularly hyped about it, I just think Bethesda is going to finally release a stable, quality game. Their games have almost always been fun and really enjoyable with a lot of value, but they've always been just absolute turds in the polish department.

Gamespot is pretty erratic, so tough to guess. I’m going to go with 91 metacritic though. Feeling optimistic 😁

It's Gamespot, and their reviews are all over the place like a mad women's shit.

I think GS will give it a 7, will it deserve that score, well that's another story altogether.

I will find out for myself in a couple of years.

@dracula_16: I'd say it has a LOT more than a 10 year life span. With another Elder Scrolls and Fallout game coming first we will be lucky to see another Starfield for 15 to 20 years... lol.

I predict an ungodly amount of time will be invested into Starfield on my Xbox and my PC. I ended up buying both since my wife wants to play it as well. I said what the heck, I was planning on buying both versions anyways.

It's a New Bethesda RPG IP. This game is getting a 10. Anything else is a flop. This is being hyped by lems to be the GOTG,y'all should hype it as such. Crazy that spending like 100 billion dollars on major publishers and studios will finally get Microsoft their first perfect score game. Let's all cheer for the underdog Microsoft! Can't wait to see what a trillion dollar company does next!

8/10, with Tears of the Kingdom and Elden Ring raising the bar for open world games, and BG3 raising the bar for Roleplaying games, simply being a better Skyrim is no longer good enough.

Maybe they just won't review it? That seems to be their thing nowadays.

It looks like a lot of reviewers didn't get early copies so I think it may be around 95-97 but, eventually lands in the low to mid 90s.

My guess is going to be an 8/10

Baldurs Gate 3 is the GOTY of 2023.

Technically the best game of 2023 is Resident Evil 4 remake, but remakes get brought down a notch compared to original titles.

(remasters are excluded entirely of course)

@kathaariancode: Getting a 7 from IGN and GS isn't exactly a return to form unless you're talking about Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 lol.

I genuinely think the last time was 2006, when Gears of War was runner up to Oblivion. That's 17 years ago now lol. We can be generous and add Halo 3, Reach and Gears 2 & 3 to that list (none of them close to winning any meaningful GOTY) but then its still 12 long years since their last masterpiece. (using the phrase lightly for Gears 3 lol)

Sony on the other hand has put out GOTY winning, genre-defining and GOTG contending masterpieces on an annual basis for 10, maybe 15 years straight now.

Pathetic that people were hyping Starfield as if made by Koji Pro, ND, From or R* N. Must have been desperation I guess.
