With all this talk about PS3 not having a AAA, the 360 only having 2 (I think its 2, I don't really remember and I am probably wrong. Oh well.) and the Wii getting one, I have a question. When did AAA games become the only ones that mattered and AA games became not worth playing?

Since when did scores mean anything? They are simply the opinions of the reviewers. It seems that none of the fanboys are able to think for themselves and form their own opinion.

Very true. Look at GameBrink, almost every review they do scores a great. :) Reviews are a decent idea of what is good, but they are not the word of some game God.
The elusive AAA score is just a status symbol of how good a console is in the eyes of fanboys. Plus it is just Gamespot's opinion - one which I have found to be at times biased, picky and plain wrong. I tend to go by my own opinions of a product since there are many AA games worthy of a AAA rating...
I love games like Ninety-Nine Nights and Phantasy Star Universe. I don't care what a game scores. If it looks fun or interesting....then I will buy it.
Higher scores from around the horn usually are a good indicator of a really good game. The best thing to look at is at what "they" say. I know that the GS reviews are king here, and that's cool, too. I use this same principle with movies. www.rottentomatos.com is the best movie site ever.

I guess. Its still a shame, since many great games only score AA. SW mods set a standard here that totally base on opinion. Like real companies to rate sucess, they go by sales. SW think the Gamespot reviewer word is golden therefore if he says it's an AAA or AA then it law. Way to go SW you're awesome in logic.
