I remember one time there were actually good arguements that made sense and had points. Now system wars is full of nothing but crybaby crackshots and just pure ignorant bliss: Lets look at the most posted topics I've read int he last week:
-Wii Sucks
-Wii graphcis make it suck
-PS3 is a failure
-360 flops in japan
-PS3 is going to dominate the market when said games come out
-360 graphics suck
-PC gaming rules over consoles
-Wii is too expensive
Yada yada yada. I was a member over a year ago and am ashamed to even visit this place. WHere did all of the intelligent people go?

You're a lv. 4 with 19 posts, normally I wouldn't get into this because, frankly, attack the arguement, not the person with the arguement, but you're one of two things
-a new user who only knows a few weeks of SW history, and has no place passing judgment (or)
-someone who hides behind multiple accounts, using the same tactics as fakeboys, ban dodgers, et cetera
Frankly the biggest problems come from low level users, both because they aren't active in GS, and because low-level accounts are often a warning sign of a ban dodger, fakeboy, or alternate alias used to disrupt SW.
To address your arguement - this is System Wars - people have strong feelings, and that's going to get expressed. It is *supposed* to get expressed. We live in the real world - there's scarcity, we choose one game over another, one system over another, et cetera - and the reasons *why* we make those decisions are what we fight about.
However, please think hard about whether you mean a lack of "intelligent posters" or a lack of posters who agree with your viewpoint. We have some incredibly smart posters who take the unpopular viewpoint that the Wii isn't a great system, that PC gaming is the best route to go, and that the casual market has hurt certain series they enjoy (such as Eldar Scrolls) who get absolutely mobbed by morons.
A great deal of the hatred comes from people who only have one system - and when we go over it - at heart a lot of it comes from people who have misconceptions about the world. They think HDTVs are $600+, they don't know about real sound systems, no one told them that for $250 you can play your Wii in widescreen on a 720p screen, or that interlacing severly reduced the perceived resolution of an image.
So, while I somewhat agree that there are people who are belligerant and uneducated in SW, I don't think it's coming from the crowd that dropped their northbridge temps 3 C by modding a 70mm fan to the heatsink, or from the crowd that's calibrating their speaker equipment...
And no, that by no means is intended to suggest it's only Nintendo fanboys, there are plenty of novice PC gamers, PS3 fans, 360 fans, et cetera who make ridiculous statements. My fond wish is that SW educated them. The other day I had a poster explaining why the GeForce 8800gtx was outdated before it was even released, how the 360 was graphically superior, and then ask "can you use an ATI graphics card with an Intel processor?" Lack of education knows no boundaries.
