When do you predict valve will annouce Half Life 2 Episode 3?

I say at next years E3 they will with a fall release.... unless they cancelled it and are making it into a full game. Then Going by valve time it would be in roughly 5 years from now.:P

Also Who do you think the GMan is?

They've already announced Episode 3. They announced it in 2006.

They need to hurry! They broke Half-Life into episodes for a reason.SparkyProtocol

Probably sometime after the Second Coming of Christ.

As of right now, all we know is that Valve says it is a "more ambitious project."

i think you're confused. They've already announced it. They did so before the release of Episode 1.

I want Half Life 3

They'll probably just forget the episode stuff and just make HL3.

With all this time, I'm expecting a lengthy title (at least 8 hours) with everything being explained, I don't want another cliff hanger and having to wait like 10 years for HL3 to have GMAN explained or something. I love the HL series, my favorite FPS series by far, but they definitely need to do something different and epic for the finale (though end of eps 2 was quite awesome). 110million

They should be almost done with it, they dont have much going on right now anyways, L4D2 is just few things here and there but its still the same engine so it cuts the development time, TF2 is handling itself all we need are class updates. And there is no word on a brand new Counterstrike anytime soon.

I think there far into the game, but there stuck giving it the right ending for the eipsode, or there having problems connecting the story etc etc. so they wont say anything about it until its good and ready.

I would expect 2010. No later. No sooner.

They've had a team working on it since 2006. When Episode 1 finished, that team began working on Episode 3. And when Episode 2 was released, Valve had multiple teams working together on Episode 3.

I'm starting to think that never is the answer. They'd probably rather release L4D expansions and sequels.

It wasn't player-given to my recollection. >.> 'G(overnment)-Man' was the name given to him by one of the army soldiers, presumably Adrian Shepard, in a journal entry that described the G-Man in the Opposing Force manual...Yes I read manuals.

It's merely coincidental that 'Gordon' starts with a 'G' and 'Freeman' ends with 'man'.

It's also mere coincidence that Gordon and the G-Man are male, have the same eye color (in fact, the only two with the same eye color in the Half-Life universe to my recollection), appear out of nowhere, and have major speech issues.
