when do you think the ps3 will drop in price?

That would be good if they drop their prices.

I really want one I already have a 360 but I just can't afford to pay 600 dollars for one. Sony would be smart if they lowered ther price around chrsitmas time.kdupe88

I was thinking that maybe the 20gb one will drop possibly.  Becuase of the cost to make the actual PS3's I can not see this happening they just cost to much to make.

In the End, just like Microsoft and every other company, Sony cares about their bottom line (money), and not about the fans. Every decision they that most companies make money is involved somewhere in the equation.  Usually it is the biggest factor.

yes but they never make money on the hardware sales, its the game sales (and for the sony, blue ray movies) that makes them the money back that they lost on the hardware.  it would be better for them to drop the price sooner to increase sales and establish more of a user base first.  Once they have more ps3s out there the money will start to roll in when the must have games start to come out (and even more if blue ray starts to take off). 

now i dont know when the price will drop or by how much but their decision will be based on more than just the amount of money they are losing on each ps3 sold.

sony don't need to drop any prices to sell at christmas time. if there's going to be a price drop it'll probably be post christmas.-Krakapow-
