No it's a fully functional PS3, just doesn't include a PS2. 360 Core on the otherhand..... gimps the user AND gimps the developer (no BC in it either so quit acting like Sony is the devil for cutting costs).

The ps3 didn't drop it. They offer a console with plenty of B/C (more than any other console out). And one that doesn't have b/c for one of their systems, yet still provides the same features as the B/C one, and still plays PS1 games.

exaclty, $800nzd vs $1200nzd for 2 less usb ports and 20 less gb and who cares?
:lol: lemmings got no arguments left now its all just crying about lack of BC which if you want you can pay $100.00 and get a $60 game for free along with 40gigs more HD space + 2 more USB ports + all mem card reader ports. + BC for PS2 games for a measley $40.00 and still includes a Blu Ray Player + wifi built in on both models.....
