When People Call Battlefield the Best Shooter Franchise To Date, What Do You Say

I have heard so many times that Battlefield franchise, which would include the bad company games of course, is the best shooter God ever gave man. When you hear this, what do you think? Is it the best of the best, or very over rated?

Personally i only ever played Bad Co 2, but the game was definitley incredible! I had never played a shooter before that gave me such a large, epic, realistic, and true sense of all out war.Just for me the blend of vehicles, teamwork objectives , classes, humongous maps, and destructible foundation proved to me that Battlefield has officially replaced Medal of Honor as the chief competitor against Call of Duty. But that is all just me lol

Easily my favorite FPS series. Battlefield 3 looks to be my favorite FPS game ever, but obviously I shouldnt jump to conclusions.

I normally agree with them. The first Bad Company title is one the few FPS titles I actually enjoyed this gen. Which is saying a lot for me because I'm not too big on FPS games.

I say dame right it's the best shooter franchise to date, I've had tons of amazing battlefield moments that I'll never have with other games. I'll never forget the time I was standing a little bit away from a tank, an enemy jeep was driving straight into the tank, the tank shot the jeep in the front (the tank was a little elevated so it aimed downwards) the jeep tilted forward, exploded, and flew over the tank. Battlefield moments are moments that you remember, they're epic, not "ZOMG I got 90-2 in Modern Warfare 2!!11! :D".

CS is the best for me. CS will always be my most played FPS and I also play BF but not as much as CS.

Calling it, BF3 flops. It wrestles the 2011 Flop title away from Killzone 3.

I disagree with them. There are at least 3 shooter franchises off the top of my head that I like more than Battlefield, but it's a great series and I'd rank it top five easy.

Maybe not the absolute best shooter franchise ever, but it's one of the best multiplayer franchises. Unfortunately, BC2 is grossly overrated by it's fanbase to the point where I have gotten sick of playing it on my PS3; which is weird considering the fact I got into the franchise with BC(BF2 was collecting dust at the time because I always had technical probs with it). Don't get me wrong, BC2 a great multiplayer game, but I swear some BC2 fans act like they've never touched BF2 or at least a shooter with teamwork before.

BF3 does look absolutely incredible. Let's hope the gameplay ends up as amazing as the visuals look.

As a whole including BC? I point a laugh basically Battlefield is great except that dice spawned Bad company one of the worst series of games I've ever seen.

They still haven't made a real "masterpiece" in my eyes. BF2 was great but it still had a few too many flaws, so for that I'd say Call of Duty 4 and Half-Life 2 take the edge.

Look at me,i played the heck outa MW2,prestiged it loadz and then came BFBC2 so i gave it a try and till date i can barely play COD anymore

Obviously like anything it is debatable, but sure thing Battlefield series is up there with the great ones.

I would ask "So do you hate CoD more than you like Battlefield (Bad Company)?".

Most people that tell me they like BBC make sure they let me know they hate CoD first.

Having played BF 1942, BF 2/2142 ,BC 1 & 2 i have to concur , its the best FPS experience i have ever had. I did love COD 1, UO , COD 2 and 4 but then it went downhill for me for these games.

i somewhat agree as bf2 and bf2142 were the fps' i played most in my lifetime i would say. thats including the insane amount of time ive put in on counter strike, cod4, and left 4 dead 1 and 2, oh and team fortress 2 as well. so i would say "mostly yes"

I'd give that title to TF2 myself, but it sure beats the crap out of Call of Duty!

I don't consider it to be a crazy opinion, because I agree that it's definitely up there.

I would more than anyone jump on the HYPE bandwagon and say a loud, blatant yes.

But Battlefield games always have lacked a solid, great and memorable single player experience. And while the Multiplayer is...no question asked... the absolute best their is in this industry, a lackluster SP experience holds its true potential as say, the "best" FPS franchise to date.

Until DICE creates an epic single player experience ala Call of Duty 4, Half Life, Crysis 2....then it'll definitely don and own the FPS genre.

They're not there, yet.

Battlefield 2 is the best the series ever got, it all went downhill with bad company.

And its not even remotly a realistic or large scale game, especially the bad company spin offs.
