I’m doing one of the optional, but really beneficial dungeons in Metaphor, and I was clearly under leveled against the boss and he was one hitting me basically, so I looked up a tip that ended up helping tremendously lol. I do consider that cheating! But how about you, SW? When was the last time you cheated in a game?

Just now in RE4R, looked up the solution to a terminal puzzle. Figuring them out each time, especially on Pro difficulty, when doing several runs is a chore. I could just memorize them, but couldn't be arsed with that either. So not so much cheating really, as I've done the puzzles several times before, but now I just wanted to get to the action.

I don't generally cheat in games, but I am currently playing through the Final Fantasy pixel remasters (currently on 3 after getting plat on the first 2) and there have been times I've turned the gil multiplier higher in order to grind up some money... other than that I can't think of much, and honestly that's just a quality of life thing since I take 95 percent of the random battles anyway and have ended with 1 million gil in 1 and over 3 million in 2... I'll probably just keep everything at x1 in 3 and see how it goes. For whatever reason decided to complete 1 through 12 at the least. I've really been on an RPG run for a bit now.

I think in Elden Ring, I looked up how to clear magical barriers or walls, and discovered there was a puzzle of some sort.

About 4 months ago. I was getting my butt kicked in Contra, so I used the Contra code to give me 30 lives.

Yesterday; I added some money to my Mass Effect 3 character so I could buy all the fancy guns and upgrades :D

Sorry not sorry, I need to be efficient with my time, not going to spend hours scouring the galaxy doing side quests just to buy a gun if I can just add some money via a quick edit of a game file or what have you.

I mean, you kind of have to cheat in Contra.

I always look up safe codes in RE games. I don't have time for that! 😅

I'll use cheats like @mrbojangles25 mentioned to avoid any particular type of crazy grind. I remember doing it for Yakuza Like a Dragon to level up quicker towards the end for the tower I believe, whatever end-game stuff they had there

I also sometimes will use cheats on a game that I have already played and beaten in the past like with Dead Space Remake. I remember beating the game only using the plasma cutter on the Xbox 360 and this time I went that route again on PC but I gave myself more nodes to upgrade my weapons and gear quicker
