Surpass 68.24 million units sold - which is the combined amount of the Nintendo 64 (32.93), GameCube (21.75), and WiiU (13.56).

I think right now as of the end of October the number was at just under 41 million units shipped after 2.5 years.

Can it keep consistent numbers going or do you see a slow-down?

It’s still kickin butt. They sold a ton in November and I’m sure this month is no different. I don’t think it slows down til PS5 and Xbox Scarlett comes out.

They released a Pokemon game just before Christmas, and Microsoft and Sony aren't offering any competition. Sales aren't slowing down anytime soon.

More interested to see if it can catch up to the Xbox Ones sales numbers.

@HalcyonScarlet: Take VG Chartz with a grain of salt, but they have said that Switch passed Xbone this week based on worldwide sales estimates.

They should remain great as long as Nintendo keeps delivering great software.

Only problem is we're all kinda sitting around wondering what's next. Other than Animal Crossing there are no 1st party titles with a release date in 2020. I'm curious if Metroid Prime 4 or Zelda BOTW 2 will come out in 2020 or 2021.

I'm thinking 2020 will be Animal Crossing, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pokemon gen 4 remakes, Bayo 3, and a Mario Odyssey sequel.

At this point I think it's going to catch the handheld momentum Nintendo normally has.

So as long as Nintendo keeps releasing quality titles and quirky hardware revisions the Switch will continue to sell.

The only drawback moving forward is the potential 3rd Party support when those devs move over to PS5 and new Xbox. Will probably see less ports to Switch because of huge power differences.
