Of course not. This gen will be pretty close all around. Even if one system breaks away I don't see any of the three systems getting any where close to 100 million.
Never, you have to realize that the PS2 is, by far, the greatest selling console of all time (with the PS1 close behind.)
Over 100 million is an incredible number of consoles sold, nearly unbelievable. Even the mighty NES only sold around 60 million. The PS2 is closing in on 120 million.
When will the PS3 surpass the PS2? Like they say, look in the mirror first. Look at your own favorite console, when the hell will it outsell ps2? they have to outsell 360 first YOUR THREAD FAILS
PS2 is at around 130 mill with all these sales, Xbox360 is at 10mill.     I dont even see it coming close if Ps2 continues to sell for another year

Simple really you can get all the fun if not better than any next gen console out now.. for cheap.. So really the only reason you'd buy a 360 or a PS3 is for the graphics... all the games we've played next gen are just last gen games with better graphics... but they tend to be not that good a really short...
Funny thing is, I'm buying a PS2 this weekend. Lol. And I won't be getting a 360 'til the summer. I guess that waiting leaves for better values since all the great games are $20 and the system itself is only $120. I'd buy that over a 360 any day.
ps2 was the domnint force between the last gen consoles. it was head and shoulders above the competition. so overall no system will touch that, atleast i hope not, i like it to be more competitive. as for monthly i say next month or the month after. i dont see the ps2 sales staying strong for long.
