There are still PS2 games in development suprisingly, like Call of Duty: World at War whitch is also for the next gen systems. And PS2 should last until maybe 2010.

That's good, does anyone know if there's gonna be any RPGs for ps2 still being made? Like from Atlus or whatever?
The PS2 could be a testement of how far Sony was looking into the future with the PS3. The 10 year life span of the PS3 could very well be possible seeing how long the PS1 and PS2 was/has been around and supported.
IMO when third party publishers stops developing games for it. but that's unlikely to happen yet. in japan, there are still lot's of games being developed for the PS2 which didn't see any north american or european release. Persona 4 is a testament to that.
