When will you realize that Microsoft is in this to win this, no matter the cost?

It looks like everybody is up in arms over another SKU with built in HD-DVD+ just about everything else. Everyone sits and wonders why?

They are Microsoft. that's why! They will do whatever it takes to fight Sony and Blue-ray for your living room. They will spend and support HD-DVD and keep it alive until the wave of the future arrives, which is downloads.

Microsoft will make sure Xbox Live, 360, and all there properties dominate. They can out spend every single company on the planet. They won't ever fold on the Xbox brand, and they will make as many SKU's as it takes to win.

This is not just a video game war, this is an all out media war, period!

End of story.

Try not to lose sleep over your previous purchases, because our systems are already obsolete, and the next consoles are in full research and development.:)

I wish'd M$ would've released this A LOT sooner. I guess the PS3 is starting to make the 360 look overpriced..so M$ had to do something. majadamus

It is overpriced compared to what actually comes with a ps3.

Sure M$ is trying to control the media/game market but I wouldn't be surprized to see them go bankrupt trying. They are loseing support all the time not only from the gameing markets but also in the OS markets. People are now going from the windows operating system to MAC or Linux. jimm895

trust me there are not as many MAC and Linux users as you might think. I am the two out of hundreds of people i know that use linux

Microsoft is all about profit and nothing else. If they really wanted to win they would have made every X360 free and not charge for everything. And M$ cant outspend everysingle company becuase there are companies that have more money than M$.

Microsoft wont win anything they allready lost this generation to the Wii and the previous one to the PS2. I am pretty sure they will also fail the next generation

i seriously doubt ms is stuffing an hd dvd player in the 360

hd dvd is losing support and ms isnt stupid i dont see why they would support a losing format

MS approach is annoying the hell out of me! I dont want to buy a console that eitherbreaksor quicklybecomes obselete because ofits lacking HDD/wifi/BD-ROM/bluetooth/reliable chips.

MS as a corporation is rushing to reap the fruit right as it buds.

SONY grows a big ol fruit and drops in on the hungry public: waiting to release a quality console that will work and ACTUALLY be capable of playing new games(BD-ROM, standard HDD, free psn)and using new 3rd party peripherals (bluetooth,usb2.0 ports, 2.5" SATA HDD)

MS is lucky they are can buy up top OS developersand keep windows pumping and fueling their relentlesssurgeinto our consumer electronics. Their REP now sux!
