If they cost the same as Live does, sure, that'd be reasonable. If its more, that would be different.

Well right now, it seems PSN is gonna be about $70 which in case you didn't know, is more than $50. So no, Xbox Live will still be the better one.

So going by this logic. $50 >>> $70. Consider the fact that PSN is $0 a year at the moment and we conclude that $0 >> $50 so PSN >> Live

Did you bother reading TC's post before quoting me to defend him?

I have 2 problems w/ psn...

1. they basically just match xbl on the bullet points. Most of the features psn matches xbl on are worse on psn. Let's start w/ mics. Now hypothetically using bluetooth mics, and usb mics should mean better voip sound quality right? Out of the few psn players that use mics most of them sound terrible (i'd say about 5/10 have mics 3/10 use them). I don't know if it's mic quality or what (I own the official SOCOM mic which was very highly rated), or the audio encoding or what, but there's definately a higher quality of communication going on w/ the 360. I will admit though since the party system has been activated less people are randomly chatting on XBL. Next is matchmaking. MS has trueskill rankings, join in progress, and a ton of other great ways to play w/ your friends. PSN doesn't even show me what my friends are playing. I can send invites, but I feel like I'm annoying them more than inviting them. Not only does PSN just match bullet points, but they match them later than XBL. Basically it's the "me too" attitude that's plagued the ps3 this whole gen. There are very few original ideas on psn right now, and they suck (ie home).

2. The community. Basically PSN is lacking a thriving online community. Even w/ charging a monthly fee XBL games have much more active players than their psn counter parts.

Now the new pay service for psn may help the first problem. From what I see there's a few things on the potential list that are really cool, but it's also things that if intergrated into XBL will probably be available to silver members. Also this pay service is going to do nothing w/ helping out the community which is pretty much the only reason XBL wins most of the time anyway.

It's not just about the features, it's how they work and they work smoothly on the xlive, PSN on the other hands takes a long time to download, sometimes even bricks systems. We'll see I suppose, Sony needs more software developers to fix PSN.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so let me get this straight, a free network that has 1 less feature (cross game chat) than a 50 dollar a year one, is worse than that 50 dollar a year one, but another network that has about 10 MORE features than that 50 dollar a year one for 70 bucks a year is worse too? that's called hypocrisy man, you can't have something both ways, which is something lemmings seem unable to get through their heavily milked skulls..... that and we don't know the price of PSN yet, it could be anywhere from 70 bucks to 20 bucks, or a flexible plan where you pay for each feature and decide which you want to get. (so i don't have to pay for that retarded "special demo for your friends" thing.

That's the one thing I hate, how long it takes for updates (even small ones). I wish they'd work that out.

yeah less people do communicate in gamessince they are chatting in a party, but if i'm not mistaken, COD forces you not to use party chat. hopefully more games will do the same.
