Where are my console JRPGS !!!!!!

Ive waited very patiently now i would like to play a good solid jrpgs anybody else feel the same way?

Wii is getting Last Story, Xenoblade, Dragon Quest 10, and a new pokemon game that was similar to the GC ones last gen.

Just wait, expect tons of JRPGS for PS3 and 360 once the gen is coming to end. :)

If you really want JRPG's, buy a handheld.

The best ones Ive played so far are there. Tales of Graces and Xenoblade.

Something tells me The Last Story is going to be another hit JRPG..... also in Japan.

I was waiting patiently for Tales of Vesperia on the PS3 to be localized, but I grew tired of waiting so I just had to buy a 360 for it.

There aren't enough good JRPGs this generation, we're being flooded with boring first person shooters because they sell so well. I really want White Knight Chronicles 2 and Tales of Graces to be localized. But they probably won't be. WKC 1 ended with a cliff hanger, so they can't just leave all of the U.S. gamers hanging like that. Sure critics didn't like the first one, but that shouldn't matter!

Don't buy WKC1 the 2nd one will come with both games in disk and with the fixed gameplay of WKC2 I actually enjoyed the game though it had many many flaws but it was enjoyable.

The good JRPGs are on SNES and PSone the end...oh yeah and the GBA/DS.

the only "great" console JRPGs I've played this gen are Tales of Vesperia and Final Fantasy XIII.

Other than that handhelds probably are your best bet.

No. It starts out good because of the story, but by the time you reach Disc 4 it goes stale. I toughed it out, but I actually took a break from gaming for a couple of days after I finished it just to recharge my batteries. :P

The DS is a good place to look for JRPGs. I've also heard that Eternal Sonata (PS3 version preferred) is an excellent choice. I haven't played it myself but it is sitting on my shelf.

actually because the number of handhelds sold in japan is nearly 4 times larger than the number of home consoles sold there.

i wanna know the same thing ive only played a few jrpgs this gen compared to last where i played a wholle lot. Everyone else is right they are all on the handhelds..which i dont really enjoy playing very much.

I'll be interested to see for myself when the time comes. With a critic average of 8.2 and user average of 8.5, they must have more than a couple things right.

Well that doesn't really even mean anything. I mean, Lost Odyssey, a game you claimed wasn't good earlier, has a user average of 8.5 and a critic average of 8.0. Only .2 away from what Eternal Sonata got.

LOL...very true. But that was more in response to his "everything but the combat" statement. Lost Odyssey still had more than one thing going for it, even if I wasn't crazy about the game.

It's also why I said "I'll be interested to see for myself." I can't really call anything until I play it, so in the end I'll either agree or disagree with his statements.

Console JRPG's have been really lacking this gen, which is very unfortunate. I really want a Shadow Hearts 4, Grandia 4, Suikoden 6, and Wild Arms 6 :(

While there are less titles around than on the PS2, I had a good last year with games like Resonance of Fate, Trnity Universe and Atelier Rorona, the next year with Disgaea 4, Neptun, Agarest 2 and Trinity Souls looks fantastic too

Lost Odysee, Final Fantasy XIII, Resonance of Fate, The Last Remnant, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms and I would like to say Tales of Vesperia but I cannot find it in stock anywhere :x

I think that's at least a handful of great JRPGS for the Xbox, and I believe PS3 has a fair few too so I don't know what you're complaining about...unless of course it's the only genre you play.
