Where are the Women adn children in games?

OK Im always wondering in games where are the women and children in games.

In some games such as Grand theft auto their understandable that children arnt on the streets since you cant crash into them and in other games such as Halo I have never seen a family of people running. Im mean its kinda hard to understand the world is gonna end if their isnt some lady gripping the hell out of her daughter/son. The only games where you see little girls and boys with the mothers is in rpgs? WHy are thes thing rare in games.

There are some..it's just more common to have a muscular man as the main character these days. JRPGs most of the time have lots of children and women in them, though.dracula_16

why do you want them in a game?

If you really want this your going to love fable 2. You actually get to have a child and he/she takes on your characteristics.

Also you could punch kids in the first fable....ahh..good times

Halo takes place almost entirely on alien planets, and giant floating rings.

In Half Life 2 there are no children because all the children were killed by the Combine.

They'll be in Fable 2.

Thats not really correct, the reason there are no children is because of the supression field which made reproduction impossible, and the game is surpose to be set 7-10 years after the combine invasion, so all the children have grown up and there have been none for along time.

Don't mean to be picky, but there is no evidence to support the combine are baby killers :)

Well, the no children thing is understandable, but as for women? Can you imagine the complex A.I. that would be required to handle that?67gt500

you know why oblivion sucks? because EVERYTIME you enter a town, a woman needs some new shoes and apparently its up to you to fund her.

japanese games have them still. American games these days have fat american marines with gravelly voices the_h_bomb

Sorry to bump, but there is evidence the Combine commited mass murder.

In the first level there are strong "ghost" hints towards it, like the playground secret(Go play through the level with the volume up) and the crying couple.

It's not confirmed, but considering they also put up a suppression field, it would make sense they wanted this to be the LAST generation completely, so killing all the children would help in that.

It's just a theory, but it's prevelant among some HL fans.
