Well i don't know if I missed something at the time of game being released, but where do my knowledge comes of SP:Conviction, this game was basically popular due to its free roaming theme and interaction with pedestrians etc.Where we could diverge police officers by distracting their attentions by means of creating disturbance in crowd etc......I completed the game, liked it,liked the anger attitudeof Sam, but I was devoid of watching Sam Fisher in beard(which above screenshot shows),walking in people like a usual citizen, interacting with them etc..........

So did the Ubisoft change the whole scenario of gameplay which took SP too long to develop ?
why did they do this ?

They felt after a few months that those aspects you mentioned weren't working so they started again.

Ubisoft changed the whole gameplay , that is why it took too long to develop SP.Ubisoft first put us in the shadow by boosting of Free-roaming-action-stealth-with-guns-and-police gameplay mechanics.......If Ubisoft had put all that time(5 years) focusing on one particular type og gameplay then SP would surely be a bigger hit.

those features might have worked if AC2 were to be given a break I guess.

Yeah, it's a bummer they decided to rewrite the whole game (honestly, it sounded interesting), but for them to go that extreme, something must've not worked as planned. While this one is great in its own right, I must agree...I miss that beard :P.

I know, man...what's more rugged, the spiky-haired Sam, or the bearded, matted-hair "I'm a homeless guy" look? Although to its credit, Conviction feels a lot like the Bourne movies....and honestly, who's going to call Jason Bourne a pansy? :P I really wish the game weren't so easy though...playing on normal, but that infiinite ammo for pistols is way too much power for me :P.

I beleive that the original conviction was plannet to be a copy of Assassins Creed, just in a modern setting.

UBI probably scrapped the idea seeing Creed was so successful. Shame.

It is a shame they didn't copy-n-paste AC? I will have to respectfully disagree.

Had they kept the ACesque gameplay, SC: C would have turned into a bad David Spade joke: "Splinter Cel: Conviction: I liked it when it was called 'Assassin's Creed'." lol

They probably could not nail down the modern theme with ACs gameplay.

They scrapped it. It didn't resemble Splinter Cell at all and there were some issues with plausibility.

I was wondering why they had changed the idea of what the game was originally suppose to be like.I really liked the free roaming croud interaction idea they had for a while.Anyways i still think the game turned out very good but i cant help but wonder what could have been.

The game was essentially the same as Assassins Creed, but in a modern setting, so they scrapped that and started over.

Good for one playthrough, maybe a second on hard. Worthless after that.
