I hope so. personally I can't decide which is better DMC or Ninja Gaiden but I am deffinitely going to play both.

I think NG2 will be better than DMC4 though

Not really interested in it unless it's dramatically different from the other entries in the series.

I think it's lost a lot of hype since it went multiplat. I wonder how that'll affect sales. DMC is a very hardcore gamer series which relies on hype from hardcore gamers, and that doesn't seem to be happening at the moment.

Lemmings only cared about the game enough to own cows. Previous fans are skeptical because they'll probably dumb it down and ruin the game for 360's fanbase. Went from a hyped game to "tchbo" to maybe it'll still be decent who cares.

I read a preview and they said the gameplay was really good but its too linear

I would finish DMC3 but the graphics make my eyes bleed. I'm on very hard mode

I heard they only started making the X360 version after they announced that it will be going multi-plat so PS3 should stay intact. Difficulty won't change either. Infact it starts out easier and gets even more difficult than DMC3

i saw an interview and the director or creator or whatever was basically saying he noobed it up for new gamers and the 360 fans who didnt get to play the other games, when i heard that i lost all interest, part 3 was great and the difficulty is one of the reasons why it was great. so maybe the new gamers will like it, but not me as a die hard fan of all the previous games, i think i will go play NGS or something instead when it comes out

I am, however, most games tend to drop off the hype radar once they go multiplat. Just look at Assassian's Creed.

you have no idea what you are talking about, they aretwo completely different games in the same genre, maybe if you watched some pro videos of DMC3 youd understand, the speed and timing of the movves these players use is amazing, they are toning it down for part 4 for new gamers to the series

Ninja Gaiden is just as complex as DMC3 (If not more so), so why would they have to dumb it down for the XBox fanbase again?

Ninja gaiden and DMC play in very different ways. Your past experience in NG does not guarantee that you will be good in DMC. NG is fast button mashing (and fun), DMC is precicely executed combos and air juggling.

I've played DMC3, it's not that hard, especially not after playing NG. I know that the pro videos of DMC3 are impressive and very cool. But they wont "dumb" down the game because of 360, he said that way before it was even announced for the platform. The game will only have easier controls and easier learning curve in the beginning, but will soon step up to the difficulty of DMC1 and 3, obviously this is because new players won't get sick of it before they even start, BOTH for new PS3 owners and 360 owners.

You have clearly never played Ninja Gaiden, button mashing will get you killed 100% of the time. Unless of course you played Black and decided to play on Ninja Dog.

Agreed. I also feel it has lost some hype with the multiplat announcement.

Either way, I felt "Devil May Cry 3"(the only one I have played) was essentially a button masher(probably because of my sensitive fingers) with annoyingly chessy dialog and unimpressive graphics--the only thing it had going good for it was the seemingly solid 60 fps, so I wasn't really going to give this installment a chance unless it made some dramatic changes myself as well.

I've only played the first one and not any of the others. I don't know if the series has changed much combat wise, but if it is still the same as Devil May Cry 1, than yeah, im looking forward to it.

This is system wars. Games are used as a weapon of war. When DMC4 went multiplat, what was there to war about? It'll be fun though.

Seriously, though, DMC4 won't suffer from going multiplat. Sure a chunk of hardcore gamers on the ps3 side wo't play it, but that is made up by the large umbers of people who willplay it on the 360 side. Plus, hardcore gamers are addictd to videogames. The market's fairly inelastic from a hardcore gamer side.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma? You mean you played the demo? You're judging an entire game on a demo of it's first level? And Devil May Cry's combo system works the same way.

I'm not judging the game. My point was to show that the 2 games are quite different so there won't be any dumbing down of DMC4. DMC has air juggling btw and ability to switch weapons anytime in combat to prolong an air juggle or combo

Ok, but the other guy did, which was obsurd. And you don't need to tell me what DMC has, I've spent well over 100 hours playing DMC3.

Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi indicated that he's focusing his optimizations on gameplay so that controlling characters is less difficult, and accessible to all players. Director Hideaki Itsuno also noted that the game will have a more forgiving learning curve than Devil May Cry 3, but will eventually ramp up to that game's level and that players, "won't be able to go back".

It WONT be dumbed down. Only in the beginning, so ALL new players wont get sick of it right away. It will sell better on BOTH PS3 and 360. Team Ninja did the exact same thing with NG:S. It's a marketing tactic so it people wont get sick of it and don't buy it.

[QUOTE="Armored_cell"]I'm not judging the game. My point was to show that the 2 games are quite different so there won't be any dumbing down of DMC4. DMC has air juggling btw and ability to switch weapons anytime in combat to prolong an air juggle or comboTyrantDragon55

Ok, but the other guy did, which was obsurd. And you don't need to tell me what DMC has, I've spent well over 100 hours playing DMC3.

I feel like I have been owned :(

It left when it went multiplat on PC and 360.

Now it's just another game in the ever growing pile of excellent upcoming Xbox 360 and PC games.

[QUOTE="Lazy_Boy88"]Lemmings only cared about the game enough to own cows. Previous fans are skeptical because they'll probably dumb it down and ruin the game for 360's fanbase. Went from a hyped game to "tchbo" to maybe it'll still be decent who cares.TyrantDragon55

Why the **** will they dumb down the game for lemmings when they got NG? Lawl at logic.

you have no idea what you are talking about, they aretwo completely different games in the same genre, maybe if you watched some pro videos of DMC3 youd understand, the speed and timing of the movves these players use is amazing, they are toning it down for part 4 for new gamers to the series

You have clearly never played Ninja Gaiden, button mashing will get you killed 100% of the time. Unless of course you played Black and decided to play on Ninja Dog.

I have played NG:sigma all the way to master ninja lol. Well maybe not completely button mashing but just button combinations.. like square, triangle, square, square ,square, triangle - Izuna drop BTW lol

Ninja Gaiden Sigma? You mean you played the demo? You're judging an entire game on a demo of it's first level? And Devil May Cry's combo system works the same way.

well i havent played ng but dmc combo system isnt like that. it all relies on the triangle button for the sword attacks (unless on sword master). like tri slightpause triangletriangle and u can get different finishsby mashing triangle in some combos.then the special attacks are initiated by holding r1triangle and flicking the stick in a direction so it seems they sound really different.

It's a marketing tactic so it people wont get sick of it and don't buy it.

i never said anything about marketing :? infact i agree with you on that point and they need it cus the sales werent stellar even on ps2. but thats why im not as hyped for this game, they noobed it, made it more accesible for new players, DMC3 hit you from the start, from everything i seen about part 4 it seems a lot easier at the begining, and the game is a gradual buildup. DMC3 was hard from the first boss, who was probably the hardest boss of all of them for me, and beyond.

also can you give me a link to that interview plz ? i wanna read it again. :)

I meant similar as in the whole mashing buttons to do combos.

oh yea the vampire lady maybe was the hardest, but last virgil was easy for me, i beat him maybe on my second try. i love those kind of fights where you and the boss are almost even in ability, just like the nero angelo fight in part 1.

Nevan is actually pretty easy if you took the time to level up Gunslinger a little bit. Agni and Rudra gave me a little trouble though.

I actually prefer using swordmaster for nevan so I can stay in the air longer and attack his heads and I liked using Agni and Rudra on him lol

Never played part 1 lol but yea virgil was easy in last stage until I got to harder difficulties.

Doppleganger maybe the easiest boss if you know how to fight him though
